Do you enjoy building with novel technologies and are curious about AI agents? As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will help build and drive the development of Nexxa.AI’s automation platform. You’ll work closely with the founding team to design, prototype, and deploy AI-driven solutions that integrate seamlessly with enterprise operations. This role is for a hands-on engineer who thrives in early-stage, fast-paced environments, enjoys tackling complex challenges, and has a passion for AI-powered automation.  Your expertise will be crucial in building systems that automate complex industrial processes, ensuring seamless integration with clients' existing infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Develop AI Automation Systems: Design and build a scalable, resilient AI automation platform integrating computer vision, machine learning, and multi-modal AI models across cloud and local environments while ensuring compatibility with legacy systems.

  • Prototype & Validate AI Solutions: Rapidly develop proof of concepts (PoCs) and automation workflows, implementing real-time machine learning pipelines to process structured and unstructured data.

  • Ensure Secure & Robust AI Infrastructure: Develop cloud-based and on-prem AI deployments, microservices, and enterprise-grade APIs, prioritizing security, compliance, and data integrity.

  • Lead & Mentor Engineering Talent: Foster a culture of innovation, mentor junior engineers, and continuously refine AI automation solutions to stay at the forefront of industry advancements.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on AI-driven automation solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++, with experience in building production-level AI systems.
    - This is a highly hands-on development role
  • Experience with computer vision & machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV).
  • Experience in automating operating systems and desktop applications on Windows and Linux.
  • Cloud expertise (AWS, GCP, Azure), with experience in scalable cloud infrastructure and containerization (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
  • Microservices architecture experience, including designing and implementing secure, high-performance APIs.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and tools like Selenium, Playwright, Postman, etc.
  • Ability to rapidly develop and iterate on prototypes in an agile, fast-moving startup environment.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating modern AI in solving complex technical challenges.
