What You’ll Do
The FinOps Analyst will develop, implement, and manage financial operations processes for the Operations and IT teams. This role requires cross-functional collaboration to improve financial transparency, enable data-informed decision making, and recommend cost saving opportunities, with a primary focus on Cloud costs.  
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain cloud cost dashboards to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights across multiple cloud environments 
- Identify cost saving opportunities and work across the Product and Engineering organizations to scope and prioritize the work in a backlog 
- Conduct regular cost monitoring and anomaly detection, identifying trends, variance, and optimization opportunities to improve budget alignment and operational efficiency 
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and recurring cost reports to support strategic planning and enable data-driven decision making within the Operations department 
- Support and participate in cloud cost governance activities, ensuring processes are consistently followed and cost-related policies align with organizational standards 
- Create and maintain internal process documentation and provide guidance to cross-functional teams on FinOps best practices 
- Build strong partnerships with cloud service providers and assist the Manager, Operations with vendor management tasks, including contract reviews and pricing negotiations 
- Maintain FinOps certifications and continuous learning to keep up with the latest best practices  
What You’ll Need to Join Our Team
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial operations experience 
- DevOps or Software Engineering background, preferred
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or relevant cloud vendor certifications (AWS and Azure preferred) 
- Proven experience using native cloud management platforms (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management) and / or 3rd party tools (CloudZero, Tenzu Health etc.) 
- Can analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making, and propose solutions based on logical reasoning 
- Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, or other 
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Trello, etc. 
- Familiarity with contract and vendor cost analysis in a cloud environment
