This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Finance Operator, Business Partner in the United States.

This role sits at the center of financial decision-making across a portfolio of high-growth companies, acting as a strategic partner to founders, CEOs, and operators. Rather than focusing on traditional reporting or isolated accounting tasks, you will shape financial narratives, challenge assumptions, and guide critical business decisions across multiple ventures simultaneously. Embedded within a fast-paced, multi-company environment, you will translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that drive growth and capital efficiency. The work spans both strategic advisory and hands-on financial problem-solving, often operating in ambiguous or undefined areas where systems are still being built. You will also play a key role in strengthening financial infrastructure, helping automate and scale processes across the portfolio. This is a high-impact position for a finance generalist who thrives in complexity, builds systems proactively, and enjoys working closely with operators at the highest level.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will serve as a financial thought partner across multiple companies, supporting executive teams in making informed, high-stakes decisions while helping shape scalable financial systems. Your responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to CEOs and operators on unit economics, cash flow, runway, and growth investment decisions
  • Challenging assumptions, pressure-testing financial models, and guiding strategic decision-making before commitments are made
  • Owning and communicating the financial narrative across portfolio companies, including actuals vs. plan and forward-looking insights
  • Translating financial performance into clear, driver-based insights that are actionable for non-finance stakeholders
  • Collaborating with data and finance teams to validate financial models and ensure analytical accuracy before deployment
  • Managing complex, cross-company financial surfaces including valuations, funding proposals, inter-company billing, and tax-related considerations
  • Contributing to the design and improvement of scalable financial systems, reporting infrastructure, and automation initiatives
  • Identifying gaps in existing processes and proactively building systems to eliminate recurring manual work

Requirements

This role requires a highly adaptable finance professional with strong analytical depth, operational fluency, and experience working across multiple business contexts. You should be comfortable operating independently in ambiguous environments and switching seamlessly between strategic and tactical work.

  • 6–10 years of experience in FP&A, startup finance, investment analysis, or multi-entity financial environments
  • Proven experience advising founders, executives, or operators on financial and strategic decisions
  • Strong driver-based financial modeling skills with a deep understanding of unit economics and business fundamentals
  • Experience working across multiple companies, portfolios, or complex organizational structures
  • Ability to build financial reporting systems and infrastructure from scratch, not just maintain existing frameworks
  • Solid accounting literacy with the ability to review and QA financial closes and outputs
  • Familiarity with modern FP&A tools and financial systems
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to turn ambiguity into structured, scalable processes
  • Comfortable with rapid context switching and managing competing priorities across multiple businesses
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for non-finance audiences

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation tailored to experience, including base salary, equity, and performance-based bonuses
  • Equity participation in portfolio companies being built and scaled
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Fully remote work environment (United States-based)
  • Unlimited PTO policy with a minimum time-off expectation to support balance
  • Opportunity to work directly with founders and executive teams across multiple high-growth companies
  • Exposure to cutting-edge financial systems, automation, and AI-driven finance operations
  • High-impact role with significant ownership over financial strategy and systems design
