Job Title: Field Sales Representative (Western Region)

Department: Sales

Reports To: VP, Sales

FSLA Status: Exempt

Work Location: Remote (with travel/on-site visits as needed)


Position Overview: The Field Sales Representative (Western Region) will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the company’s presence across states within the western U.S. This individual will work directly with customers and strategic partners to promote and support the adoption of SenesTech’s fertility control technologies. This position is remote and requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory for customer visits, site assessments, and participation in industry events.


Salary & Compensation: This position offers a conservative base salary supplemented by a highly competitive, performance-driven commission structure. The compensation plan is designed to significantly reward successful sales performance, with strong earning potential for individuals who meet or exceed regional sales goals.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Territory Development: Establish, manage, and grow customer relationships throughout the Western U.S. region, including California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, and surrounding states.
  • Customer Engagement & Sales Execution: Promote SenesTech’s product solutions by delivering compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical consultations tailored to each market segment.
  • Strategic Market Penetration: Identify high-value markets and customers in pest management, municipal, and agriculture sectors. Create and execute plans to enter underserved areas and maximize regional sales opportunities.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to align territory initiatives with broader company goals and ensure cohesive messaging.
  • Product Expertise & Client Support: Serve as a subject matter expert on the company's fertility control solutions. Offer training and ongoing technical support to ensure customer success and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Performance & Reporting: Achieve sales targets for the assigned region and maintain accurate, timely reporting of activity, forecasts, and market trends through CRM tools and internal reporting.
  • Competitive & Market Insights: Monitor industry shifts, regional trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities or risks, and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Act as a regional ambassador for the brand, ensuring strong communication and alignment between field activity and the corporate office.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of successful sales experience, preferably within the biotech, life sciences, pest management, or agricultural industries (required)
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and growing market share
  • Experience working across multi-state territories or regional markets (preferred)
  • Knowledge of EPA or FDA-regulated products is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL: This is a remote position, based within the Western Region of the United States. This role requires access to a dedicated home office space that is separate from everyday living areas, ensuring minimal interruptions during core work hours. This role primarily involves sitting in front of a computer screen for extended periods. Requirement of occasional travel, up to 40%, or as determined by the needs of the Company. Any expenses incurred that are authorized travel expenses, per Company policy, will be reimbursed.
