The Executive Director will lead and inspire community engagement initiatives, driving impactful programs, revenue generation, and volunteer development within their assigned market. This role involves close collaboration with volunteer leaders to design and execute an annual plan that addresses local needs, including fundraising events, mission outreach, and awareness campaigns. The Executive Director cultivates strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, and community stakeholders while fostering a culture of philanthropy and high performance. Success in this role requires strategic vision, operational oversight, and exceptional leadership to empower volunteers and staff alike. Remote work from Philadelphia, PA is supported, with flexibility to engage across diverse community settings.


Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the primary staff leader in assigned markets, building empowered communities and expanding outreach.
  • Develop, implement, and execute annual and long-term plans for revenue generation, fundraising events, and awareness activities.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage volunteer leadership boards and committees to achieve organizational goals.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, corporate partners, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Create a culture of philanthropy by fostering volunteer engagement, recognition, training, and leadership development.
  • Manage market operations, ensuring volunteers and staff work efficiently to achieve objectives.
Requirements:
Candidates should bring a combination of leadership experience, non-profit expertise, and strong relationship management skills. Required qualifications include:
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum of 5 years of experience directing staff and partnering with volunteers in a non-profit or related setting.
  • Proven track record in volunteer stewardship, partnership development, and consistently exceeding goals.
  • Experience managing revenue generation activities, including special event fundraising, major gift solicitation, and corporate/foundation support.
  • Strong strategic, operational, and financial planning skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote setting while leading community-focused initiatives.
