Executive Director of Clinical Operations

Supervises: Treatment Directors, Program Managers, & Clinical Team
Location: Remote in Minnesota - Some travel between locations in required
Hours: Monday - Friday
Pay Grade: $140,000 - $160,000 annually
JOB SUMMARY:
The Executive Director plays a pivotal role in the strategic direction and clinical operational excellence of Partners Behavioral Healthcare. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Executive Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services while maintaining efficiency, compliance, and profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Strategic Clinical Leadership: Collaborate with the COO and executive team to develop and execute clinical strategic plans, goals, and initiatives aligned with the company's mission and vision.
- Clinical Operational Efficiency: Streamline clinical operational processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource allocation.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to uphold the highest standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices in the behavioral health industry.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to ensure sustainable growth and profitability. Identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost containment.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational, financial, and regulatory risks. Monitor and address any issues related to compliance, safety, or liability.
- Clinical Staff Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the operations team, including managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional development.
- Technology and Innovation: Identify and leverage technology solutions to enhance clinical operational efficiency, client experience, and service delivery. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging best practices to drive innovation.
- Partnership Development: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, community organizations, and government agencies, to support business development and collaboration opportunities.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and 245G industry standards governing the provision of behavioral health services. Stay informed about changes in regulations and proactively adapt policies and procedures as needed.
- Knowledge and understanding of all Partners Behavioral Healthcare processes as pertain to the 12 Core Functions.
- Understanding of industry-specific policies, such as the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) regulations for health care.
- Some travel between locations in Required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of leadership in healthcare operations, preferably within the behavioral health sector.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, financial management, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology and data analytics to drive operational excellence.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Professional certification in healthcare management or related field (e.g., Certified Healthcare Executive, Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
CONTINUED EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Complete continuing education courses as required by the State of Minnesota and PBH.
- Stay current regarding professional research, techniques, etc.
