Position Description
This Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to our Chief Legal Officer (CLO) through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. This person must be careful with details; maintain absolute confidentiality; and possess excellent organizational and time-management skills. This person must write with precision, professionalism, and excellent grammar. A willingness to ask questions and accept instruction, very high attention to detail, and a great work ethic to see projects through to the finish line are key to this position.
Primary Responsibilities (any or all of the following)
- Executive assistance to CLO:
- Build and maintain a priority-ranked task list.
- Coordinate meetings and travel logistics.
- Maintain an organized inbox and calendar with 100% accuracy and attention to detail.
- Handle expense reporting and follow up on invoiced payments.
- Screen requests to the CLO with an appropriate understanding of urgency and importance.
- Carry out other administrative tasks such as data input and information processing.
- General duties:
- Develop personal workflows and processes that suit the CLO's work style.
- Build and maintain a department-wide project dashboard and relevant reports.
- Understand the framework and function of the Legal Department's files and answer requests for documents and information within confidentiality parameters.
- Some familiarity with legal documents and terminology is a plus.
- Correspond internally and externally with diligence and care and support the department as assigned.
Requirements

- Prior administrative assistant experience.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Professional appearance, demeanor, and language.
- Love of learning and capacity to understand the framework of the most common legal and tax concepts used in the Legal Department.
- Initiative to recognize needs and develop solutions as appropriate.
- Ability to listen well, follow instructions and processes, and keep up with multiple projects at once.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to use discretion and keep information confidential.
- Tenacity in tracking and completing duties.
- Ability to be flexible, as needed.
- Self-sufficiency working alone on projects most of the time.
- Solid knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and aptitude to learn other technology.
Work Location
This full-time, salaried (exempt) role is a remote position with special consideration for candidates in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill areas of North Carolina for proximity to team members, time zone alignment or in-person meetings. Some travel (less than 5%) may be required.
Pay
Starting at $55,000 annual
