About the role
The Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) is seeking a professional to serve as an Event Experience / Operations Lead, with a focus on developing and elevating event hospitality across the Tour. This hybrid role combines remote planning responsibilities with on-site event execution and is designed as a pathway to grow into a leadership role in event hospitality.
This position will play a key role in shaping the player and spectator experience at DGPT events, with an emphasis on hospitality, staff coordination, and volunteer engagement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-oriented, and passionate about creating exceptional experiences for players, fans, and staff. Position Responsibilities
- Lead and support player and spectator hospitality initiatives across DGPT events
- Organize and coordinate staff, volunteer meals and hospitality logistics on-site
- Support and enhance the overall spectator experience, including flow, comfort, and engagement
- Improve and elevate the volunteer experience, including onboarding, communication, and on-site support
- Assist with execution of event operations, including logistics, course setup, and teardown
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, ticketing, marketing, health & safety)
- Support advance event planning and preparation
- Assist with coordination of DGPT assets, vendors, and event site logistics
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree and/or 4+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination)
- Experience with event operations, tournament direction, or large-scale event logistics
- Strong understanding of elite-level competition standards including PDGA rules and competition standards
- Highly organized with strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
- Strong communication skills (in-person, email, and messaging)
- Professional demeanor when working with players, staff, partners, and vendors
- Ability to work long hours on event days, often outdoors and in varying conditions
- Comfortable with physical demands, including lifting and transporting equipment
- Willingness to travel and support on-site operations for 6–7 events annually
- Experience with Google Workspace, project management tools, and database systems
- Desire to learn, adapt, and contribute as a team player
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience towing trailers or transporting equipment long distances
- Background in sports event coordination or similar field

- This position is placed on unpaid furlough (leave) for up to 12 weeks.
- Full-time employment starting in early February and ending in late October.
