Role Overview:
Streamline event planning operations by owning host/venue relationships and optimizing processes, enabling a 3x growth in event volume through efficient coordination between sales, events, and city launch teams.  You’ll work in partnership with the Head of Events, assisting with planning and execution of 200-2000 person college/nightlife events and activation events that drive user acquisition and brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
Day 30: Outreach and coordination. Identify social chairs and initiate outreach, attend meetings with hosts, ownership of notes and logistics, timely follow-up, event setup and execution, develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations, work with city launchers in new markets.
Day 60: Plan and organize events. Follow-up with key partners and confirm events and activations, follow budget and guidelines given by Head of Finance, track expenditures and connect to ROI, ensure smooth execution of process, attend and work the events, track best practices and learnings.
Day 90: Expand network and accelerate growth. Liaise with contracted talent buyers and graphic designers, network through existing partners, identify new opportunities for different types of activations, layer in events during soft months. Autonomously identify new partners for events and grow the amount of events we can put on.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of event planning experience, familiarity with key markets such as college, greeklife and nightlife in major cities
Passionate about music, live events and wants to work in the entertainment industry
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Fluency with Slack, Coda/Notion, Excel, Social Platforms
Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
Has a growth mindset, is curious, responsible and can work autonomously
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow-up
Flexible working schedule, work nights and weekends and travel out of state as needed
