Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced ERP Business Applications Manager to oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of the ERP systems within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ERP processes, and preferably IFS, and will play a pivotal role in improving operational efficiency, system functionality, and business workflows. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to align the ERP system with business needs, manage system upgrades, and provide technical support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- ERP System Management:
- Oversee the ERP systems, ensuring it is configured and operating effectively to meet the business requirements of all departments.
- Lead the implementation of new ERP modules and functionalities, ensuring alignment with organizational needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all IFS ERP-related inquiries and issues.
- Project Management:
- Manage ERP implementation and upgrade projects from initiation to completion, including planning, resourcing, and delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to estimate; prioritize; gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation.
- System Optimization & Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and optimize ERP workflows and configurations for better efficiency and scalability.
- Identify areas of improvement within business processes and recommend system enhancements to address these needs.
- Ensure that ERP processes are standardized across the organization and align with industry best practices.
- Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide day-to-day support for ERP-related issues, troubleshooting problems, and offering solutions in a timely manner.
- Work closely with IT support teams to ensure the ERP system's infrastructure, security, and performance are maintained.
- Training & User Support:
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure end-users have the knowledge and skills to effectively use the IFS ERP system.
- Provide ongoing support to end-users and act as a resource for troubleshooting or training needs.
- System Maintenance & Upgrades:
- Plan and manage ERP system maintenance and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Stay current on new features and functionalities of IFS ERP and integrate them into the system as appropriate.
- Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with other departments (Finance, Manufacturing, HR, Supply Chain, etc.) to ensure the ERP system meets the needs of each functional area.
- Provide regular reporting on ERP system performance, issue resolution, and project progress to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience managing or supporting ERP systems, specifically IFS ERP (IFS Applications), in a mid to large-sized organization.
- Strong knowledge of IFS modules, such as Accounting/Finance, Supply Chain (procurement and Inventory), Field Operations, Dispatch/scheduling; Billing/AR.
- Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into ERP system solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment of FTE’s and contractors
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in leading or managing ERP teams.
- Knowledge of industry-specific best practices for ERP use in manufacturing, finance, or supply chain operations.
Work Environment:
- Full-time position
- Travel may be required for project-related tasks or system implementation.
