Company Description

Observe, the AI-powered observability company, is revolutionizing how businesses detect anomalies, troubleshoot applications, and resolve incidents to deliver exceptional customer experiences. By eliminating silos of logs, metrics, and traces, Observe stores all data in a single, cost-efficient data lake, analyzes all telemetry data using a single language, and provides access through a consistent user interface. Observe enables companies to resolve software incidents three times faster at one-third the cost. Trusted by customers such as Capital One, Dialpad AI, and Top Golf, Observe turns data into actionable insights. Investors include Capital One Ventures, Evolution Equity Partners, Madrona Venture Group, and Sutter Hill Ventures.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Implementation Engineer to be embedded with one of our largest financial services customers. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and hands-on engineer dedicated to ensuring the customer’s successful adoption of Observe across their enterprise. You’ll be the primary technical partner, driving implementation outcomes, aligning with complex financial industry requirements, and helping the customer realize the full value of Observe at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a long-term engagement with a large enterprise financial institution, serving as their dedicated implementation engineer.

  • Partner with customer stakeholders across engineering, operations, compliance, and security to configure and integrate Observe into highly regulated environments.

  • Drive onboarding and enablement programs tailored to the unique needs of financial services, including governance, risk, and compliance requirements.

  • Develop and optimize integrations, automations, and dashboards to support mission-critical observability use cases in the financial sector.

  • Act as the customer’s advocate, collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Account teams to ensure enterprise-scale adoption and satisfaction.

  • Capture lessons learned, implementation patterns, and financial services–specific best practices to inform reusable playbooks for future large enterprise customers.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in technical implementation, solutions engineering, or consulting roles, ideally with large enterprise or financial services customers.

  • Strong background in observability, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps tooling (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, AWS/Azure/GCP).

  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise implementations with high visibility and regulatory oversight.

  • Hands-on scripting/coding skills (Python, Go, Bash, or similar) for integration and automation tasks.

  • Deep familiarity with Splunk (SPL)—including query languages (SPL), dashboards, alerting models, and migration strategies—is required.

  • Experience with New Relic observability solutions, including APM and metrics, is strongly preferred.

  • Exposure to additional observability platforms (Elastic, Datadog, Grafana, etc.) is a plus, but Splunk and New Relic expertise are the most critical.

  • Knowledge of OpenTelemetry (OTEL) or conventional APM tools and practices.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders in financial services.

Why Join Us

  • Take on a high-impact, dedicated role supporting a global financial enterprise on their observability transformation journey.

  • Build deep expertise in scaling Observe across regulated, complex environments.

  • Work directly on Splunk-to-Observe migration and New Relic implementation projects critical to the customer’s success.

  • Collaborate with passionate experts across engineering, product, and customer success.

  • Grow your career through technical leadership, customer engagement, and exposure to enterprise-scale challenges in the financial services industry.
