From application and underwriting to decisioning and post-approval onboarding. This team owns the foundation of Engine’s credit platform, managing multiple application flows, partner lines of credit, and the systems that grant or deny credit.This is a new team building a product that will simplify and accelerate access to credit, enabling same-day spend through automation of underwriting processes and improved fraud detection. Advocate for new tools and strategies that drive efficiency, scalability, and long-term technical success.</li></ul><p><strong>What You’ll Bring to Engine:</strong><strong><br></strong>We’re looking for someone who’s ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:</p><ul><li><strong>Experience: </strong>5+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 2 years in a management role. Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.</li><li><strong>Skills: </strong>Strong leadership and team-building abilities with a focus on driving performance and results. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li><strong>Tech-Savvy: </strong>Strong technical foundation with expertise in at least one of TypeScript/Node.js, Java/Kotlin, or Ruby on Rails, plus experience working with AWS and Datadog.<br><strong>Education: </strong>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).<strong><br></strong><strong>Mindset: </strong>Deep understanding of agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.). A strategic and results-driven approach to engineering and team leadership.
