Energy Efficiency Associate (Hybrid - Oakland, CA; Orange, CA; Portland, OR - US)

Since 1995, we’ve harnessed that power to offer proven, performance-based solutions for our utility, government, and institutional customers.</div>We are currently seeking a full-time Energy Efficiency Associate specializing in Building Electrification to join our Energy Efficiency Programs Department. This role will be primarily focused on supporting implementation for the Technology and Equipment for Clean Heating (TECH) initiative, a multi-year, statewide market transformation program focused on residential building electrification in California. Desired experience includes policy, codes and standards, implementation and market transformation as related to building electrification efforts in California or other states. Candidates should also have familiarity with key policies and decision makers influencing the building electrification landscape, as well as the high-level strategies to achieving California’s building electrification goals. This unique market opportunity, paired with Energy Solutions' mission-driven approach, creates a perfect environment for an individual who wants to have an active voice in shaping the nation’s energy future. The person filling this role will be required to work in a hybrid work environment adjacent to one of our offices (Oakland, CA; Orange, CA; Portland, OR) and expected to be in the office a minimum of once a week (preferably Wednesdays)  Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to: <ul><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Assisting with program implementation and design</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Technology research and literature searches, including energy savings calculation</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Facilitating and monitoring the progress of projects and communicating progress to internal stakeholders</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Organizing and facilitating meetings and conference calls with internal stakeholders and/or clients</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Coordinating implementation activities between internal technical teams and consulting stakeholders</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Configuring program changes on our proprietary software platforms</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Working with internal clients to debug, reproduce, document, and fix support problems for production web application systems</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Creating visualizations and dashboards using BI tools (e.g. Tableau)</li></ul>  Minimum Qualifications: <ul><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">A bachelor’s degree or</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with no degree</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed technical and quantitative analysis, knowledge of data science and/or experience with information systems management</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Experience using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Strong organizational and project management skills</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Exceptional attention to detail</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Flexibility and adaptability in regard to project focus</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Ability to work and thrive independently and juggle multiple competing priorities</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Proactive and collaborative problem-solving approach</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Excellent personal accountability</li><li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;">A 5-minute PowerPoint presentation will be required during the interview process</li></ul> Compensation is commensurate with experience within the pay band of $60,000 - $70,000 / Annually<div class="content-conclusion">Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package.
