About the role

  • Under the direction of a supervising Endocrinologist, the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will provide high quality, efficient, team-based patient care with focus on treating complex diseases related to the endocrine system, as well as various metabolic issues and patient education.

What you'll do

  • Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
  • Ordering medications and diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviations from normal.
  • Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and another relevant patient education.
  • To collaborate with the supervising Endocrinologist physicians, managers, and other department members on performance improvement activities

Qualifications

  • Required License: Active California PA-C or NP License
  • Endocrinology Experience: 2 Plus Years
