This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Employment Counsel in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to provide expert legal guidance across all stages of the employee lifecycle within a dynamic and fast-growing organization. You will partner closely with People & HR teams and business leaders to ensure employment strategies, policies, and programs align with company culture and values. The role involves handling complex employment issues, supporting high-impact projects, and shaping the employee experience through compliant policies and practical solutions. You will lead or advise on internal investigations, employment claims, and strategic organizational initiatives such as reorganizations, acquisitions, and global expansion. This position is ideal for a collaborative, hands-on attorney who thrives in a flexible, fast-paced environment and enjoys making a tangible impact on workforce strategy and operations.


Accountabilities:
  • Provide business-focused legal advice on all stages of the employee lifecycle.
  • Partner with stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain compliant employment policies, processes, and programs.
  • Draft, review, and update employment agreements, playbooks, and procedural documentation.
  • Lead or support internal investigations related to employee complaints or workplace misconduct.
  • Oversee employment-related claims, litigation, administrative charges, and pre-litigation disputes.
  • Collaborate on major organizational initiatives, including strategic reorganizations, global expansion, and acquisitions.
  • Deliver training and guidance to managers and stakeholders on employment law and best practices.
  • Monitor developments in employment law and provide actionable guidance to the business.
Requirements:
  • JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 5+ years of employment law experience, including counseling and litigation.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a high-performing, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal topics clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on, practical approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.

  • Competitive base salary, aligned to location tier:
  • National: $173,600 – $217,000
  • Premium: $187,900 – $234,900
  • Premium Plus: $204,200 – $255,300
  • 15% annual bonus and equity eligibility.
