This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Employee Relations Partner based in United States.

This role serves as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations matters across a growing organization.
You’ll partner closely with People leadership, business leaders, and Legal to address performance, conduct, conflict, and workplace concerns.
The position balances employee advocacy, organizational culture, risk mitigation, and consistent application of policies and practices.
You’ll lead and support sensitive workplace investigations involving issues such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and policy violations.
The role also provides an opportunity to strengthen manager capability through training, guidance, and practical employee relations resources.
Using case data, trends, and employee insights, you’ll help identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen the overall employee experience.

Accountabilities
  • Advise People Partners, business leaders, and managers on complex employee relations matters, including performance concerns, workplace conflicts, conduct issues, policy violations, and other sensitive employee situations.
  • Recommend appropriate approaches for addressing performance issues and support managers in developing, documenting, and administering Corrective Action Plans.
  • Partner with the Employee Relations Manager and Legal team to conduct thorough internal investigations involving allegations such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and policy violations.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive case documentation within the employee relations case management system, monitoring investigation and performance cases through resolution.
  • Apply sound employee relations principles, organizational precedent, and applicable policies to promote fair, consistent, and well-supported outcomes.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities within employee relations processes and recommend practical improvements to strengthen effectiveness and consistency.
  • Monitor relevant employee relations data, metrics, and trends to identify recurring issues, emerging risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support the adoption of employee relations practices across the organization through clear communication, manager guidance, and employee education.
  • Help develop and facilitate training for People Managers on employee relations topics, including performance management, conflict resolution, and leadership best practices.
  • Stay informed about changes in federal and state employment laws and regulations and communicate relevant developments to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Handle highly sensitive employee information with exceptional discretion, confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in employee relations, HR generalist roles, HR business partnering, labor relations, employment law, or a comparable field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent employee relations experience or relevant HR certifications may also be considered.
  • Demonstrated expertise conducting workplace investigations, managing conflict, negotiating resolutions, and advising on complex employee relations situations.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. employment law and EEO requirements, including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and applicable state-level equivalents.
  • Strong understanding of workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodations, performance management, and related employee relations practices.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sensitive cases and competing priorities efficiently.
  • Exceptional discretion and confidentiality when handling personal, legal, and organizationally sensitive information.
  • Ability to remain calm, tactful, objective, and persuasive when navigating challenging or potentially confrontational situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain recommendations, risks, rationale, and next steps to varied audiences.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to balance risk mitigation, fairness, consistency, employee experience, and organizational culture.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across People, Legal, management, and business teams.
  • Previous project management experience is preferred.
