We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Email Marketing Manager to spearhead our email communications across a diverse range of programs and services.

As Email Marketing Manager, you will be the email subject matter expert, responsible for the full lifecycle of campaigns – from strategic development and optimization to execution and insightful analysis. You'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our customer experience and driving the success of ASCO's vital initiatives.

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute strategic email marketing campaigns in support of ASCO programs and services 

  • Collaborate with program leads to define campaign objectives, target audiences, and KPIs, translating strategic goals into actionable email marketing plans 

  • Support organizational email needs such as newsletters, transactional messages, and data transfers 

  • Design, implement and optimize email processes and policies, including the email calendar, email preference center, development timelines, A/B testing and QA processes 

  • Conduct A/B tests to optimize subject lines, content, and calls to action 

  • Serve as business lead for ASCO’s email tools, including user management and training, as well as managing email templates, modules, and style guide 

  • Track and analyze campaign metric reports (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, lead conversion rates, unsubscribe rates, and pipeline) to develop data-driven insights and recommendations 

 

Required Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Management, or a related field or equivalent years of experience 

  • 6+ years of experience in digital marketing, specifically experience in developing and executing email campaigns 

  • Professional experience with email, marketing automation, and project management tools (e.g. Taxi for Email, Stensul, Litmus, Adobe Campaign, Airtable, Smartsheet) 

  • Experience with A/B testing and optimization of campaigns, processes, and systems 

 

 

Preferred Education and Experience 

  • Experience with oncology marketing and/or association marketing  

  • Extensive experience with Adobe Campaign or similar marketing automation tool  

  • Digital Marketing experience with list of 50,000+ subscribers 

  • HTML skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail  

 

ADA/Physical Requirements 

Extended periods seated or standing at a desk 

High use of computer and other office technology equipment
