This leadership role sits at the core of mission-critical infrastructure delivery, guiding high-performing electrical engineering teams responsible for designing advanced data center systems across both greenfield and brownfield projects. You will oversee technical excellence, project execution, and team development while ensuring complex electrical designs meet stringent performance, safety, and reliability standards. The position combines deep technical oversight with strategic leadership, supporting large-scale hyperscale data center environments. You will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and cross-functional engineering teams to align scope, budget, and delivery objectives. In addition to driving engineering quality, you will play a key role in business growth, client engagement, and proposal development. Accountabilities:- Lead and manage the Data Center Mission Critical Electrical Design and Analysis Engineering team, ensuring high-quality delivery of complex engineering solutions for large-scale projects
- Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables in coordination with project managers while ensuring alignment with client expectations
- Assign engineering responsibilities, including Lead Responsible Engineers, and ensure balanced workload distribution across teams
- Maintain and enforce engineering quality standards, including review and approval of technical deliverables and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive staff development through hiring, mentoring, performance management, and promotion of professional growth opportunities
- Provide technical leadership and resolve complex engineering challenges through internal expertise or coordination with subject matter experts
- Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client engagement, contract support, and market planning activities
- Manage staffing projections, resource allocation, and team performance, ensuring alignment with project demands and organizational goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in hyperscale or mission-critical data center environments
- Strong expertise in electrical design and analysis, including short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and delivering large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent technical writing skills, attention to detail, and strong understanding of engineering quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams in a collaborative environment
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for client meetings, site visits, and project support activities
- Strong organizational, coordination, and decision-making skills with a proactive leadership style
