We’re looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial Director of Publisher Partnerships to lead and evolve Stacker’s Distribution team. This person will oversee both business development and partner success functions and own Stacker’s rapidly scaling distribution network that today represents more than 4k+ unique publishers and news outlets. You will define and execute Stacker’s long term distribution roadmap, responsible for both deepening relationships with the thousands of publishers actively working with Stacker today, and driving new partnerships that expand the reach of our newswire.
This is a critical leadership role at the intersection of media innovation and audience strategy. You’ll define and execute a long-term distribution roadmap that not only supports today’s publisher relationships but also anticipates tomorrow’s.
Whether it’s working with national aggregators, local newsrooms, content creators, AI platforms, or other emerging media ecosystems, your mission will be to build both the partnerships and partner activation programs to ensure Stacker stories are seen by as many relevant audiences as possible. Define the Future of Distribution: Expand our distribution strategy to include emerging channels like email newsletters, creator platforms, AI search integrations, and more.
Drive Strategic Growth: Identify new partnership opportunities and ecosystems where Stacker content can add value and reach new audiences.
Own the Publisher Playbook: Refine and optimize our strategy for engaging, onboarding, and nurturing media partners—ensuring our content meets their editorial needs and earns continued trust.
Represent Publisher Voice Internally & Externally: Be the champion for publisher needs in internal product and content discussions. Participate in industry events, create thought leadership, and be a public face of the Stacker Newswire.
Measure What Matters: Develop frameworks for tracking performance and health across the network, using insights to guide strategic decisions and team priorities.
Lead to a team toward growth: Manage a lean but mighty team that helps ensure our publishing partners achieve their content and business goals through their use of Stacker.

7+ years experience in media partnerships, business development, or publisher success—ideally with leadership experience in a high-growth, digital media, or SaaS-adjacent environment; 2+ years managing and leading team.
Proven ability to manage and grow high-performers.
Strategic thinker who can balance big-picture innovation with day-to-day execution.
Deep understanding of the digital media landscape and an instinct for where it’s going.
Experience working with news publishers and a strong grasp of editorial, audience, and monetization priorities.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and designing systems in uncharted territory.
Comfort with systems like Airtable, ClickUp, ChatGPT, Zapier, HubSpot, etc.
