As our Director, Strategic Initiatives - R37, you will help lead R1’s AI and technology transformation. Every day you will drive cross-functional initiatives and engage with key stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team, the R37 team, Commercial teams, clients, and leadership across the broader R1 organization. To thrive in this role, you must have excellent communication, first principles problem solving, and proactive leadership.   

 

What you will do as a Director, Strategic Initiatives - R37: 

Strategic Initiatives  

  • Support the stand-up and ongoing leadership of R37’s Transformation Management Office (TMO), which will focus on ensuring processes are working effectively across teams, recommend improvements where needed, and centralize coordination & management of key cross-program activities (e.g., progress reporting, internal communications, roadmap updates, hiring plans, budgeting, financial reporting)   

  • Conduct competitive intelligence and market research to support strategic decision-making (e.g., M&A, partnerships, go-to-market strategy, product roadmaps)  

  • Lead and monitor progress across a variety of strategic initiatives from concept through successful execution, establishing success measures and tracking mechanisms to ensure desired outcomes  

Go-To-Market Execution & Sales Enablement   

  • Drive go-to-market strategy execution and facilitate cross-functional alignment to maximize sales effectiveness, partnering with Commercial & Marketing leaders to understand client pain points, tailor messaging for maximum resonance, and ensure the R37 program and initiatives are represented accurately  

  • Create compelling, cohesive, visually creative presentation materials that translate complex technical concepts into accessible business narratives and support persuasive storytelling  

  • Design and facilitate engaging, structured client workshops that balance sharing R1’s capabilities and expertise to build credibility with listening and learning from the client to create rapport and gather key information  

  • Orchestrate product demonstrations and coach presenters on key messages  

Stakeholder Engagement  

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on agenda development and presentation materials that highlight progress and surface critical decision points for the Board of Directors, Sponsor MORs, CEO updates, and other key stakeholders   

  • Drive planning and execution of internal presentations and forums (e.g., Executive Leadership Team, Senior Leadership Team, R37 All Hands, Product & Engineering All Hands)  

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Compliance & Risk, and Legal teams to ensure adherence to AI governance policies and oversee evaluation processes for new AI initiatives  

 

We would love to hear from you if you have:  

  • 2-5 years of experience in strategic roles within management consulting, corporate strategy, or technology industries  

  • Exceptional written communication skills with proven ability to compose compelling narratives, translate complex technical information into accessible business language, and tailor messaging for various audiences  

  • Strategic Communication & Executive Influence with proven ability to craft compelling presentations and visual frameworks that support strategic messaging. Comfortable engaging senior executives with confidence, clarity, and thought partnership. 

  • Analytical Rigor & Operational Leadership: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights. Demonstrated success managing multiple high-impact projects and leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments. 

  • Adaptive Leadership & Emotional Intelligence: High emotional intelligence with a collaborative mindset, learning agility, and passion for innovation in healthcare. Skilled at building relationships across diverse teams and navigating change with resilience and empathy. 

 

 

While it is not required, it is another advantage if you also have:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred  

  • Background in product and software development, healthcare operations (especially revenue cycle), and leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $112,718.72 - $187,269.24 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 20.00%
