This is a senior engineering leadership role at the intersection of cutting-edge hardware and world-class game development. As Director Software Development - Gaming Technology, you will lead a team of specialized engineers working directly with global game studios to optimize performance, stability, and feature integration across AAA titles. You will play a key role in advancing next-generation gaming experiences by enabling developers to fully leverage advanced CPU, GPU, and APU capabilities. This position combines strategic leadership, deep technical expertise, and close collaboration with external partners. You will help drive adoption of advanced rendering technologies, including performance-enhancing features used in leading game engines. It is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on leader passionate about gaming innovation, engineering excellence, and scalable impact across the industry.


Accountabilities:
  • Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for gaming technology engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with product and platform goals
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team focused on game optimization, feature integration, and performance/stability improvements
  • Collaborate closely with game developers, publishers, account teams, and internal architecture specialists to enable successful technology adoption
  • Oversee prioritization of engineering efforts to support key product launches, performance milestones, and integration objectives
  • Establish and maintain strong operational execution, including reporting on delivery health, progress tracking, and resource planning
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, development workflows, and cross-functional collaboration across global teams
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture
  • Lead the adoption of AI-accelerated engineering workflows to improve debugging, optimization, and integration efficiency

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant leadership experience in gaming, graphics, or high-performance computing environments
  • Strong background in game engine development, graphics programming, and performance optimization at scale
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering complex, performance-critical software products
  • Deep understanding of concurrent programming, multithreading, and shader or rendering optimization techniques
  • Experience working across full software lifecycle in collaboration with hardware or platform engineering teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with external developers, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern development tools such as Git, debuggers, and profiling tools
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering workflows and mentor teams in their adoption
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees are a plus
