In this senior scientific leadership role, you will shape and deliver high-impact real-world evidence (RWE) and health outcomes research (HEOR) solutions that support clients across the full product lifecycle. You will act as both a strategic advisor and hands-on expert, overseeing biostatistical study design, analysis, and interpretation while ensuring methodological rigor and scientific excellence. The role combines client-facing consulting, team leadership, and business development in a highly collaborative environment. You will influence study strategy, support evidence generation plans, and help translate complex data into actionable insights for healthcare decision-making. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to proposals, project delivery, and scientific publications. This is a highly visible role where your expertise directly impacts client success and innovation in real-world research.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the design, execution, and oversight of biostatistical components in RWE and HEOR consulting projects, ensuring scientific rigor, methodological accuracy, and client relevance.
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership in study planning, analysis, synthesis, and interpretation of real-world data across diverse therapeutic areas.
  • Manage project teams, guiding statisticians and analysts while ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and alignment with client expectations.
  • Support business development activities including proposal development, study scoping, budgeting of biostatistical work, and participation in bid defenses and client presentations.
  • Contribute to internal innovation initiatives, process improvements, and development of thought leadership materials such as white papers and publications.
  • Serve as a key client advisor, translating complex statistical findings into clear, actionable insights and maintaining strong long-term relationships.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, support performance management, and foster a collaborative, high-performance consulting culture.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Data Science, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in biostatistics, including substantial application in real-world evidence and/or HEOR environments.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience leading teams and managing project delivery in consulting, pharmaceutical, or healthcare research settings.
  • Strong expertise in statistical methodologies, study design, and applied biostatistics within observational or real-world data contexts.
  • Experience with CDISC standards and proficiency in SAS programming.
  • Demonstrated success in client engagement, business development support, and proposal development.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management capabilities with a collaborative mindset.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary range: $155,000–$175,000 (excluding bonus, benefits, or equity where applicable).
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Retirement savings plan (401K) and employee stock purchase program (ESPP).
  • Paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO) depending on role structure.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities where applicable.
  • Flexible work environment with varied hours depending on project needs.
  • Travel opportunities (0–5%) supporting international client engagements.
  • Inclusive culture supporting professional growth, collaboration, and continuous learning.
