This leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing the strategic real estate vision for a premium retail network across the United States. You will lead end-to-end real estate planning, including market expansion, site selection, lease negotiations, and portfolio optimization for a growing store footprint. Acting as a key strategic partner, you will ensure that every location supports brand positioning, customer experience excellence, and long-term commercial performance. The role requires deep expertise in U.S. retail real estate, strong negotiation capabilities, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across internal teams and external partners. You will work closely with cross-functional leaders in retail, finance, legal, construction, and design to align real estate decisions with broader business objectives. This is a highly influential position where your work directly shapes market presence, store performance, and long-term growth strategy.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute a market-driven real estate strategy that aligns with brand vision, commercial goals, and premium retail positioning across the United States.
  • Lead portfolio expansion strategy, identifying, evaluating, and securing new retail locations that support profitable and scalable growth.
  • Conduct detailed market and site analysis, including trade area evaluation, cannibalization risk, and financial performance modeling.
  • Lead end-to-end lease negotiations, ensuring optimal commercial terms, risk mitigation, and long-term portfolio value.
  • Manage relationships with landlords, brokers, and external partners to support strategic site acquisition and portfolio management.
  • Oversee lease lifecycle management, including renewals, renegotiations, expansions, and strategic exits across existing store locations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with retail, finance, legal, construction, and brand teams to ensure alignment on real estate decisions and execution.
  • Develop and present business cases and executive recommendations to support investment decisions and expansion priorities.
  • Mentor and guide real estate team members, fostering strong performance, capability growth, and pipeline execution.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in retail real estate, commercial leasing, or store development in a multi-site environment.
  • Proven experience leading complex lease negotiations and managing large-scale retail portfolios.
  • Strong expertise in U.S. retail real estate markets, site selection strategy, and market expansion planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate market data and translate insights into strategic business decisions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with experience working with landlords, brokers, and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence executive-level decisions.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including experience with business cases and performance modeling.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong leadership mindset with experience mentoring or developing team members.
  • High adaptability, problem-solving ability, and comfort operating in ambiguous environments.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $154,000 – $202,000 annually
  • Performance-based annual incentive eligibility
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with immediate vesting and employer matching
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, and mental health support
  • Paid time off, holidays, and dedicated “No Wasted Day” outdoor exploration days
  • Parental leave for all parents with return-to-work transition support
  • Employee stock purchase program (where applicable)
  • Professional development opportunities and outdoor skills-building programs
  • Employee discounts and exclusive gear access programs
  • Inclusive, values-driven culture focused on wellbeing, growth, and community.
