This senior finance leadership role is responsible for driving enterprise-level planning, forecasting, and financial performance visibility within a complex global environment.
The position plays a critical role in translating commercial trends, operational drivers, and business performance data into actionable financial insights.
By partnering with business leaders and finance teams, the role helps improve forecast accuracy, strengthen decision-making, and support strategic growth initiatives.

Accountabilities:

The Director Planning and Forecasting will lead financial planning and forecasting activities, ensuring business leaders have accurate insights and actionable recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.

  • Own full P&L forecasting responsibilities, including revenue, expense, and profitability outlooks within the FP&A function.
  • Develop and maintain financial planning and forecasting models incorporating volume, pricing, customer trends, product mix, pipeline assumptions, headcount, vendor spend, and investments.
  • Partner with commercial teams and business finance leaders to gather, challenge, and align revenue and cost assumptions throughout forecasting cycles.
  • Analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods to identify key drivers, risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives.
  • Support scenario modeling related to growth opportunities, pricing strategies, customer demand, and commercial initiatives.
  • Prepare clear financial narratives, reporting materials, and executive-level insights for leadership discussions and forecast reviews.
  • Drive standardized, scalable forecasting processes through consistent assumptions, templates, governance frameworks, and best practices.
  • Support the adoption of AI-enabled forecasting tools, predictive analytics, and planning automation to enhance financial decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy, accountability, and business performance visibility.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional with strong FP&A expertise, commercial understanding, and the ability to transform complex business data into strategic recommendations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in business finance, FP&A, or a related financial planning function.
  • Experience supporting global or publicly traded organizations.
  • Strong understanding of revenue, expense, margin drivers, and commercial finance principles.
  • Proven ability to translate business trends and operational drivers into accurate financial plans, forecasts, and actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail, data quality, and forecast accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with commercial leaders, business finance teams, and senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, spreadsheet analysis, reporting platforms, and planning systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to executive audiences.
  • Experience leveraging technology, analytics, or automation tools to improve planning processes is preferred.
