As Director of Sales, you will take Synteq's sales team from a small, high-performing group to a structured, scalable operation. This is a player/coach role, closing deals yourself while designing the playbooks, hiring the team, and building the infrastructure for significant growth.


Key Responsibilities


  • Build the team: Hire, train, and lead sales reps across hardware, HPC services, and hosting. Design comp structures, quotas, and performance standards.
  • Own the number: Full accountability for revenue targets. Forecast precisely, manage the pipeline with discipline, and personally close strategic deals.
  • Shape the GTM: Partner with marketing on positioning, lead generation, and event strategy. Bring market intelligence back to the executive team to refine our offerings, especially as we launch new products.
  • Manage key accounts: Our clients are enterprise compute operators and institutional miners. Build trusted relationships, identify expansion opportunities, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Lead cross-functionally: Work closely with the President, operations, and finance on pricing, delivery, and company strategy.


Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years in B2B sales—hardware, compute infrastructure, HPC, or data centers
  • 3+ years leading sales teams, including hiring and building compensation structures
  • Experience building a sales organization, ideally at a high-growth company where you created the playbook rather than inherited one
  • Rigorous approach to pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline (HubSpot preferred)
  • High ownership, low ego, relentless follow-through

Preferred

  • Experience selling HPC, colocation, hosting, or industrial hardware
  • Familiarity with the Bitcoin mining ecosystem
  • Technical aptitude—comfortable talking shop with engineers


Travel Requirements

This is a remote position with travel required within the United States and internationally, 25-50% of the time, based on business needs. You must possess a valid U.S. passport for international travel and demonstrate the flexibility to accommodate occasional travel on short notice, including evenings or weekends, as needed. Familiarity with domestic and international travel processes is a plus.


Work Authorization

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.


Language Requirements

Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required to effectively collaborate with team members and partners. This includes the ability to prepare detailed reports, deliver presentations, and engage in professional discussions.
