Director of Sales

The Director of Sales is a dynamic role where you'll drive revenue growth, motivate a high-performing team, and make a meaningful impact. If you’re excited to roll up your sleeves and get into the trenches with us (you’ll be going through the same training as our reps and running a few deals to learn the ropes), build strong relationships, and optimize revenue strategies, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Leadership and Team Development
Lead and mentor the sales team to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Recruit, hire, and train new Account Executives (AEs).
Provide ongoing coaching to AEs to increase close rates and enhance performance.
Build career pathing strategies for AEs, guiding their growth within the company.
Ensure team adoption and use of tools like Hubspot and Gong for consistent pipeline management and performance tracking.
2. Sales Process and Performance Management
Review and address escalations, including deal ownership issues and post-sale escalations.
Enforce Rules of Engagement and ensure smooth AE/BDR collaboration.
Regularly review sales KPIs (e.g., quota attainment, close rates, daily activities) and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct pipeline reviews and analyze close rate trends to address gaps proactively.
Develop and implement scorecards in Gong for performance measurement and peer reviews.
3. Strategy and Execution
Create and execute strategic sales plans aligned with the company’s goals.
Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and customer success to optimize sales strategies and alignment.
4. Enablement and Resource Management
Ensure sales materials are up to date and accessible via Notion, Google Drive, and other platforms.
Present updates and insights at bi-weekly sales team meetings and provide agendas for pod meetings.
Maintain close collaboration with marketing for customer-facing material updates and distribution.
5. Coaching and Training
Provide hands-on coaching for tenured AEs and team leads to grow their leadership capabilities.
Identify and develop AEs capable of leading enterprise calls to mitigate risks to the company.
Support AEs and BDRs in adapting to the pod structure, ensuring its success and making adjustments as needed.
Top Priorities (First 1-6 Months):
Onboard thoroughly to understand the company’s product and processes, including participating in Customer Success onboarding.
Analyze AE performance data and implement coaching to address close rate trends proactively.
Deeply engage with the team to build trust and drive results.
Key Challenges and Opportunities:
Navigate organizational changes with flexibility and enthusiasm.
Provide consistent coaching and oversight to AEs, introducing career pathing and segment specialization.
KPIs and Success Metrics:
AE close rates, meeting-to-close ratios, and quota attainment.
Revenue growth driven by improved AE performance.
Enhanced collaboration between sales, marketing, and operations.
Successful implementation of the segment-based sales model.
Skills & Experience:
Required:
3+ years of director-level experience in SaaS sales (healthcare industry preferred).
Proven ability to lead and coach high-performing sales teams.
Strong data analysis skills using tools like Google Sheets/Excel.
Expertise with sales tools such as Hubspot, Gong, and Notion.
Experience designing and monitoring compensation plans and quotas.

Compensation:
Base Salary: $175,000
Quarterly OTE Bonus: $30,000 ($120,000 annually)
Total OTE: $295,000
