Osmind is building the Osmind Psychiatry Innovation Network (OPIN), a revolutionary managed services organization focused on supporting independent psychiatric practices, particularly those offering innovative treatments like TMS, Spravato, and other interventional modalities. We are seeking an experienced, strategist, and hands-on RCM leader to build and scale our RCM operations from the ground up, serving as a cornerstone of our services offering launching in 2025. This role is designed for a player coach who can manage the daily billing operations while crafting and executing a forward-thinking roadmap that aligns billing processes with the company’s long-term goals.
Position Overview
As Head of RCM, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling best-in-class RCM operations to support psychiatric practices across the United States. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational execution to build both onshore and offshore teams focused on maximizing revenue for our provider network while maintaining high-quality standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the overall RCM strategy for our RCM services offering
- Build and lead high-performing teams across US and international locations
- Set and monitor KPIs to ensure operational excellence and financial targets
- Manage vendor relationships and partnerships
- Oversee team performance and professional development
- Operations & Process Design
- Design end-to-end centralized RCM workflows for complex psychiatric billing, including interventional treatments, and establish processes for benefits verification, prior authorization, claims submission, and denials management
- Create quality assurance frameworks and compliance protocols
- Implement best practices for clean claims submission and denial prevention
- Develop standard operating procedures and documentation
- Technology & Systems
- Partner with product/engineering teams to define requirements for RCM technology tools
- Evaluate and implement RCM software solutions and automation tools
- Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency
- Financial Performance & Analytics
- Set and achieve revenue cycle performance targets
- Monitor key metrics including clean claim rates, days in AR, denial rates
- Develop reporting frameworks to track team and financial performance
- Identify opportunities for revenue optimization
- Provide regular performance updates to leadership
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and billing requirements and stay current with changes in billing rules and regulations
- Maintain documentation of policies and procedures
- Conduct regular audits of billing practices
- Client Success
- Ensure high satisfaction levels among provider clients
- Act as an escalation point for complex billing issues
- Build relationships with key provider accounts
Required Experience- 10+ years of healthcare RCM experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Proven track record building and scaling RCM operations from scratch, including both US-based and offshore teams
- Deep understanding of behavioral health billing, particularly for specialized treatments and procedures
- Experience implementing and optimizing RCM technology solutions
- Strong background in healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements
- History of achieving strong financial results through effective RCM operations
- Experience managing teams of 30+ across multiple locations
Preferred Experience- Direct experience with psychiatric or behavioral health billing
- Knowledge of TMS, Spravato, or ketamine therapy billing requirements
- Previous experience at a managed services organization or large medical group
- Experience building RCM operations in India or the Philippines
- The ideal candidate will combine deep technical RCM expertise with strong leadership abilities and a track record of building high-performing teams across multiple geographies. They should be entrepreneurial and excited about building new operations from the ground up while maintaining focus on compliance and quality.
$140,000 - $160,000 a year
Depending on experience and location
The reasonably estimated national salary range for this position is between $140,000 - $160,000 annually, plus an equity package for eligible employees. Actual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and local cost of labor.
