The role reports to the Genomics Solutions & Digital Pathology, Product Management Director within the CDD Marketing Global Product Management department. The NGS Solutions team is a global team with team members located in the USA and Europe. Direct reports include individual contributors (ICBs). The team comprises approximately 7 employees.
Overall function is to manage and direct the team “NGS Solutions” in accordance with the Agilent Director role, with the key objective to translate strategies into tactics. This includes:
Leading team competency development and determining organizational structure with Genomics Solutions and Digital Pathology Director / AVP approval
Developing and implementing operational policies within team
Ensure overall budgets, schedules, performance standards are established and attained
Holding team members accountable to schedules and performance standards
Developing and implementing tactic.al plans aligned with business strategy
Secure the Quality System and Agilent policies are appropriately used in all relevant activities
Key functions for NGS Solutions include:
Establishing and integrating multi-level organization operational objectives and timelines
Designing, managing, and executing operational policies to deliver on business strategy
Team performance according to Agilent values and defined business objectives
Financial management in accordance to agreed project costs
The NGS Solutions Director has a cross-functional span of communication with:
Various internal functions of the Commercial Organization, Order Fulfilment Service, R&D, Finance, RA, QA, Sales and Medical affairs, Global Marketing teams, Commercial Marketing, Sales, Field Marketing, RA/QA, Manufacturing, and R&D
Maintain alliances with Agilent's key customers/Partners
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the NGS Solutions team
Talent identification, development and retention
Set performance objectives, conduct performance appraisals as well as ensure continuous competency development of direct reports
Facilitate structured and transparent customer and business centric prioritization
Allocation of resources to projects and marketing activities - accountable for plan, budget and prioritization
Ensure right processes are in place to deliver timely and efficiently on team deliverables
Facilitate seamless cross-functional partnership with Commercial Marketing, Sales, Field Marketing, Application, R&D, OFS, and RA/QA to align on product priorities and execution plans
Portfolio responsibility is to monitor and improve sales, market share & profitability of portfolio owned by team (NGS Solutions). This include :
Ensure high quality product knowledge transfer to commercial and support teams
Evaluate customer feedback and react accordingly
Manage supply critical issues & back orders of portfolio owned by team
Degree in Business, Marketing, Science or Engineering with an understanding of the diagnostic industry
5+ years of increasing managerial experience
Experience in product marketing within the life science industry
NGS and Genomics experience highly preferred
Solid business acumen
Ability to influence at peer level within the organization
Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels across the organization
Structured approach and excellent planning skills

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
