This role plays a critical part in shaping and strengthening global product environmental compliance across a complex portfolio of products and international operations. The position ensures that products meet evolving regulatory requirements related to environmental stewardship, materials restrictions, and sustainability standards. You will act as a key leader in building structure, consistency, and best practices across diverse business units while navigating a highly dynamic and sometimes ambiguous regulatory landscape. The role requires a strong ability to connect regulatory frameworks with practical product implementation, ensuring compliance is embedded throughout the product lifecycle. You will also contribute to broader strategic initiatives tied to circular economy principles and global sustainability goals. Accountabilities:- Lead and support global product environmental compliance (PEC) programs across a diverse portfolio of products and operational environments
- Ensure compliance with materials restrictions, environmental regulations, extended producer responsibility requirements, and sustainability reporting obligations
- Develop and implement consistent best practices for product stewardship across multiple business models and product categories
- Establish structured processes and frameworks to bring clarity and organization to complex and evolving regulatory requirements
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure environmental compliance is embedded across the full product lifecycle
- Support regulatory reporting, product documentation, and compliance validation activities at a global scale
- Contribute to circular economy and sustainability initiatives by aligning product strategies with environmental objectives
- Assess organizational gaps in compliance practices and help define strategic improvement plans
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to drive alignment, accountability, and execution of compliance standards
Requirements:
- Strong experience in product environmental compliance, including materials regulations, stewardship programs, and regulatory reporting frameworks
- Demonstrated knowledge of extended producer responsibility (EPR), circular economy principles, and global environmental compliance standards
- Proven ability to implement consistent compliance practices across diverse product lines, industries, or business models
- Experience working in complex, global organizations with cross-functional stakeholder management responsibilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to create structure in ambiguous environments
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication and influencing abilities across technical and non-technical teams
- Strategic thinking capability with experience translating regulatory requirements into actionable business processes
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory landscape
- Experience in product lifecycle management or product stewardship roles is highly valued
- Global perspective with experience working across multiple regions or regulatory frameworks is a plus
