ROLE: This position is focused on Gym Launch. 

The Director of Marketing will oversee all aspects of the company’s marketing operations, driving strategic vision while managing hands-on execution. This role combines expertise in strategy, campaign development, and performance analysis with strong leadership to guide a dynamic marketing team. From planning and research to execution and optimization, this position ensures marketing efforts are aligned with business objectives to maximize impact and growth.

As the driving force behind customer acquisition and brand development, the Director of Marketing will collaborate closely with Sales and other departments to attract the ideal customer profile and achieve organizational and budgeted goals. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven leader with deep knowledge of marketing strategy, performance analytics, cross-platform campaigns (traditional and digital), and team management. They will play a key role in shaping the company’s market presence by leveraging data insights, identifying growth opportunities, and innovating marketing efforts.

Key qualities include a deep understanding of our ideal customer and the ability to build and inspire a high-performing team. This person will stay ahead of the competition by studying trends within our community and within the market at large to identify how we can remain valuable regardless of market conditions.  This individual will serve as a cornerstone of the company’s growth, ensuring that our marketing efforts not only meet current objectives but also position the business as a leader in the industry for years to come.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Marketing Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to consistently meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to refine the sales funnel, optimize conversion rates, and drive new client acquisition.
  • Identify constraints within the acquisition process, design and execute solutions autonomously without the need for leadership to step in.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand our client base.
  • Lead a fully scaled marketing plan from strategy to execution, including direct response marketing, organic social media growth, SEO, as well as ongoing lead nurture, etc.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum impact.

Campaign Management & Optimization

  • Monitor, analyze, and distribute key marketing performance metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and ROI, to optimize efforts.
  • Influence the marketing team to think outside the box, and to creatively devise and lead cross-channel marketing campaigns that drive towards budgeted acquisition goals. 
  • Maintain a research database by identifying outcomes of methodical split testing including but not limited to winning creative, copy, offers, and messaging buckets.
  • Contribute to marketing effectiveness by identifying current constraints in real-time and deploying effective solutions to remain efficient and meet goals.
  • Ensure the sales team’s stats are accurate and up to date and report these numbers to the Strategic team weekly.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Conduct weekly department meetings to prioritize and reprioritize projects both individually, and for the department at large. 
  • Conduct informal monthly reviews of each team members and contractors most impactful work, evaluate areas for improvement and communicate back to them how and where to improve. 
  • Conduct formal quarterly employee reviews for all team members to evaluate overall performance and create individual action plans for each.
  • Lead the marketing team to ensure successful execution of marketing objectives.
  • Determine hiring and internal positions needed to further grow the Marketing Team in-house and scale online presence and market awareness.


Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with the GM to ensure accurate reporting, accurate forecasting, and alignment with portfolio and entity goals.
  • Communicate weekly with other Directors (Sales, Finance, Product) to ensure all departments work congruently toward a common goal. 
  • Liaise with internal teams, external agencies, and vendors as necessary.


RESULTS: 

  • Achieve a minimum of 188 sets to BC’s per month  
  • Attain a maximum cost of $1,200 for Qualified show to BC
  • Blended CAC does not exceed $4,250.  
  • Meet or exceed Budgeted Monthly New Bookings for active product offerings
  • CEO and GM are not needed to identify constraints within the acquisition funnel. 
  • YTD, MTD, and WTD Marketing Data is accurate and available for Senior Leadership to review at any given time. This includes acquisition, engagement, and audience data
  • Brand presence and acquisition process is scaled across multiple platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Google, YouTube, Instagram, and Company Websites
  • Strategic relationships and partnerships are facilitated with key industry players, agencies, and vendors as needed
  • Marketing department budget is managed properly based on yearly company budget
  • Every team member’s 4 R’s  and each contractor's agreed upon goals and current projects are reviewed monthly and a document outlining areas for growth / improvement is built and discussed with them in a 1:1 meeting each month.
  • Updated marketing plan is presented no later than 10 days prior to each quarters strategic leadership meeting, complete but not limited to projected content needs, proposals on assets to be built from leadership, and budget adjustments.


REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 4+ years experience in Direct Response Marketing and Online Advertising
  • Ability to align marketing strategy with the vision of CEO and company values
  • Track record of using HubSpot as a tool to reduce CAC, reduce internal drag, reduce internal costs, and increase sales efficiency.
  • Strong and ever evolving knowledge of website analytics tools  
  • Excellent numerical skills, including utilization of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
  • Experience working with common digital advertising platforms such as Google AdWords/Display Network, Meta, Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, X etc. 
  • Experience working in a startup environment and building a team/department
  • Experience writing, editing, and coaching to high performing sales copy across SMS, Email, and sales funnels. 
  • Must be a pro at verbal and written communication with extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to present concepts in new ways and from new perspectives
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate across all departments
  • Self-directed and able to work closely with a high performance Executive team
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to drive the marketing efforts forward
  • Proven track record in optimizing marketing funnels specifically, VSL, booked call, and lead magnet funnels. 
  • Proficiency in strategic ad-buying, analyzing marketing metrics, and skilled at budget management
