Position: Director of Front End Engineering
As our Director of Front-End Engineering, you will lead the React and Unity architecture vision, stability, and team. You will define the front-end technical roadmap, establish best practices for automated quality assurance (AQA) and CI/CD, and ensure our React/TypeScript applications perform flawlessly across web, Android, and iOS platforms.

What you will do:
- Strategic leadership: Own the front-end technical roadmap for web and devices (Android, iOS) applications; align with product to prioritize features and technical investments.
- Team management: Direct multiple engineering teams and their leads, conduct performance reviews, mentor managers, and set career development plans.
- AQA & stability: Define and scale automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, end-to-end, performance) for React/TypeScript applications, ensuring stability under high load.
- Architectural excellence: Establish front-end standards, code-review processes, and documentation guidelines; champion reusable component libraries and design systems.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with UX, backend, QA, and product teams to deliver cohesive, user-centric experiences.
- Innovation & evaluation: Research emerging front-end technologies and recommend pilots or integrations.
Who you are:
- Visionary leader: 8+ years of front-end development experience and 3+ years in a director or senior engineering leadership role, managing managers.
- React/TypeScript expert: Deep hands-on experience building scalable React applications with TypeScript, modern state management, and performance optimization.
- Quality advocate: Proven track record designing and maintaining comprehensive AQA pipelines (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright).
- CI/CD strategist: Fluent in CI/CD best practices and tools, with experience automating builds, tests, and deployments for web and mobile.
- Device-savvy: Demonstrated experience delivering production applications on Android and iOS platforms; VR front-end experience is a plus.
- AI evangelist: Experienced in championing AI-powered development tools (e.g. code assistants, automation pipelines) to accelerate engineering workflows and drive team adoption.
- Communicator & collaborator: Exceptional at translating technical strategy into actionable plans and building consensus with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in front-end engineering, with significant React/TypeScript development.
- 3+ years leading engineering teams at the manager or director level, including direct management of other managers.
- Experience architecting and scaling automated quality assurance frameworks for large React applications.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for web and mobile app delivery.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without stipulations and be residents of the United States.
- Following the offer, all roles require I-9 verification, E-Verify, a background check, and a drug and alcohol test.
You’ll have an edge if you have:
- Experience in EdTech, serious game development, or simulation platforms.
- Familiarity with 3D simulation and VR frameworks (Unity, Three.js) and immersive front-end experiences.
- Strong understanding of Android and iOS deployment processes and platform nuances.
- Previous involvement in design system creation and maintenance.
- Proven ability to steer engineering teams through technical due diligence with investors.
- Exposure to cloud hosting (GCP, AWS) and API development.
Pay: $175,000
