About the role
As Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will be a key member of the finance leadership team, responsible for building and leading the financial planning function. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and strategic financial initiatives. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational rigor, and strong modeling skills to support the company’s growth and value creation objectives. Intellectual curiosity is a must.
What you'll do
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts across departments
- Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to support scenario planning and strategic initiatives
- Partner with the CFO and executive team to support board-level reporting and investor communications
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Own monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and KPI dashboards
- Analyze business performance across revenue streams, customer cohorts, and cost centers
- Provide actionable insights to improve profitability, efficiency, and capital allocation
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations to align financial goals with business strategy
- Support pricing strategy, customer acquisition modeling, and retention analysis
- Drive accountability through data-driven performance metrics and reporting
Systems & Process Improvement
- Implement and optimize FP&A tools and systems (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, NetSuite)
- Streamline reporting processes and automate recurring tasks
- Establish scalable processes to support rapid growth and M&A activity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- Progressive FP&A experience, ideally in a SaaS or recurring revenue business
- Experience in a Private Equity-backed environment or high-growth tech company
- Strong understanding of SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, etc.)
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
