Accountabilities:- Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the enterprise risk management framework, including risk appetite statements, governance standards, and enterprise-wide methodologies.
- Direct enterprise risk assessments, risk inventories, control gap tracking, and quantitative monitoring through key risk indicators across major risk categories.
- Oversee board and committee reporting processes, ensuring clear, timely, and actionable communication of aggregated risk exposure and emerging trends.
- Manage the operational risk program, including risk and control assessments across products, functions, and processes, while recommending mitigation strategies.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for regulators, auditors, banking partners, and internal stakeholders on ERM and operational risk matters.
- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing risk teams while strengthening systems, processes, and governance infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required; advanced degree such as MBA, JD, or related qualification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise risk management within banking, lending, or broader financial services environments.
- Proven success designing or leading ERM programs, including frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, governance, and reporting structures.
- Hands-on experience with federal regulatory examinations such as OCC, Federal Reserve, or comparable supervisory bodies.
- Strong quantitative capabilities with expertise in risk metrics, data aggregation, key risk indicators, and governance/risk systems.
- Demonstrated ability to present to executive leadership and board-level committees with confidence and credibility.
- Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across multiple lines of defense.
