The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the growth and management of the Stocktwits community. This candidate will be responsible for managing key relationships with creators and partners, overseeing social media efforts (X, Instagram, Reddit, TIkTok), managing the Moderation function, and executing a Community Content strategy that onboards and engages Stocktwits users. This role requires well-developed community moderation intuition and a genuine excitement for engaging with members of the community. You will manage a team while also owning day-to-day operations. This role will help build and implement strategies and processes that map to overarching company goals to help Stocktwits acquire and retain new users.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach and support the Community team for Stocktwits.
  • Serve as the face of Stocktwits Community for users and creators. 
  • Monitor, moderate and manage community sentiment and engagement to build a healthy, engaged community.
  • Drive user acquisition and retention by constantly learning, researching, and experimenting with new community-building ideas and strategies. 
  • Identify key metrics and report on the success of Community initiatives with qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Stocktwits streams - keep negative actors out and foster best practices for existing members.   
  • Act as a voice of the community by communicating feedback and member problems internally to help identify and build key supporting features/functionality. 
  • Build and manage relationships with influencers and financial media personalities. 
  • Identify trending user generated content to contribute to content across Stocktwits social media channels.
  • Oversee the team with the promotion and execution of in-person and virtual community events. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of proven experience in online community management for a direct-to-consumer business.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • This person must absolutely love investing, actively follow markets, and ideally have experience trading equities and/or crypto. 
  • Desire to creatively engage and grow an existing organic community.
  • Well-versed in social media platforms, techniques and methods.
  • Current Stocktwits user with an appreciation for our community preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to balance numerous projects while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Effective interpersonal skills, particularly in building relationships and working collaboratively both internally and externally.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills (grammar & syntax).
  • Willing to join meetings or take calls outside of normal business hours.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. If you have questions on compensation bands, please ask your recruiter.
