Who we are

With its A.I.-powered robotic technology platform, Symbotic is changing the way consumer goods move through the supply chain. Intelligent software orchestrates advanced robots in a high-density, end-to-end system – reinventing warehouse automation for increased efficiency, speed and flexibility.

What we need

Greenbox Logistics is building a scalable, next-generation fulfillment network—and operational reliability is key to our success. As Director of Maintenance, you’ll lead the development and execution of our national maintenance program to ensure our fulfillment centers operate optimally, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

This role is responsible for building the maintenance infrastructure that supports our rapid site expansion—from defining preventive maintenance strategies to scaling teams and vendor relationships across a growing portfolio of sites.

What we do

GreenBox* is pioneering warehousing-as-a-service, offering outsourced warehousing operations, and specializing in automated warehousing solutions. Our focus is on the efficient movement of goods in cases and pallets across all sectors, such as wholesale, retail, and general merchandising.

*GreenBox is an independently managed joint venture between Symbotic and Softbank.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement standardized maintenance programs across all Greenbox fulfillment centers, including preventive, predictive, and reactive strategies.

  • Hire, lead, and manage regional/site-level maintenance teams, creating a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee contracts and performance of third-party vendors and service providers.

  • Partner with automation, facilities, and operations teams to ensure all systems—including MHE, automation, and building infrastructure—are properly supported.

  • Track asset performance, system reliability, and maintenance KPIs to drive uptime and cost efficiency.

  • Create and enforce compliance protocols for safety, inspections, and maintenance recordkeeping.

  • Support new site launches by ensuring maintenance readiness from day one.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in automated facilities or equipment maintenance within logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environments.

  • Proven success building and managing multi-site maintenance teams and programs.

  • Deep understanding of automated warehouse systems, automation equipment, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure.

  • Experience managing third-party maintenance vendors and contractors.

  • Strong analytical and project management skills.

Our Environment

  • Travel is required up to 50% of the time. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and manage expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
