About your new role:


The Director of Inside Channel Management at Command|Link will oversee and mentor the Inside Channel Account Managers (ICAMs) while driving strategic growth and performance. The ICAM team represents a high-potential group with opportunities to advance into Channel Director roles. This position requires a leader with a strong technical background, a proven track record of closing deals, and a commitment to developing talent with the primary sales focus to be outreaching to unengaged channel partner contacts and pressing them through a clearly defined sales development process leading to funnel creation and closed-won sales.   


Key Responsibilities:


  • Guide, mentor, and develop the ICAM team, creating a clear path for top performers to move into Channel Director roles while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Primary sales functions will be outreach-driven sales engagement to unengaged channel partner contacts with the goal of scheduling an initial Command|Link platform demonstration and discovery call, with regular follow-up cadence through funnel creation and tightly managing customer opportunities through to closed-won or lost.
  • Serve as a hands-on leader, supporting ICAMs in closing high-value deals and navigating complex sales scenarios while engaging directly with partners and customers to provide tailored solutions.
  • Act as a trusted resource for ICAMs, leveraging a deep understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, and Network Aggregation technologies to enhance sales conversations and proposals.
  • Champion Command|Link’s channel strategy, reinforcing our reputation as a preferred partner among Technology Services Distributors (TSDs) and Technology Advisors (TAs), while driving engagement with top partners such as Avant, Telarus, and Intelisys across the U.S.
  • Monitor and analyze team performance metrics, implementing strategies to meet and exceed sales targets, and develop training programs to elevate team skills in sales, technical knowledge, and relationship management.


What you'll need for success:


  • Proven leadership experience, preferably within inside channel management or a related sales leadership role.
  • Mastery of data and analytics driven sales functions, including use of robust CRM KPI metric driven sales programs, measurement of success and problems across sales stages for training and optimization, and management of staff to clearly defined daily, weekly, and long-term objectives.
  • Expertise in outreach driven sales functions to channel partner contacts including initial outreach tactics, agogee sequences, and defined process to take contacts from initial engagement through to producing partnerships.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in SD-WAN/SASE and Network Aggregation is a strong bonus, with the ability to mentor others in these areas.
  • A track record of successfully closing high-value deals and supporting team members in complex sales cycles.
  • Experience managing relationships with Technology Services Distributors (TSDs) and Technology Advisors (TAs).
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and motivational skills to inspire team growth and advancement.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills to drive data-driven decision-making and team accountability.

Commandlink hires individuals in a number of geographic regions and the pay ranges listed reflect the cost of labor across these regions. The base pay for this position as displayed at the bottom of the job description is a range based on our lowest geographic region, up to our highest geographic region. Pay is based on location among other factors, such as skill-set, experience, and qualifications held.
