  • Oversee strategic industry relations with pharmaceutical manufacturers, driving rebate negotiations, contract optimization, and long-term value creation through market intelligence and pipeline insights.
  • Direct clinical strategy development, including formulary design, utilization management programs, and drug list governance to ensure clinical quality and cost efficiency.
  • Manage Medicare and Medicaid pharmaceutical RFP processes, ensuring competitive positioning and strong rebate performance outcomes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with finance, underwriting, IT, sales, and client teams to translate clinical and market insights into actionable business strategies and client-facing solutions.
  • Lead rebate operations oversight, ensuring accurate invoicing, compliance, and effective vendor management to maximize financial performance.
  • Provide executive-level insights on market trends, drug pipelines, and regulatory changes to support enterprise strategy and client decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare, Business, or related field; Registered Pharmacist (PharmD or equivalent licensure) required.
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry relations, formulary management, clinical strategy, or pharmacy benefit management environments.
  • Strong expertise in rebate strategy, formulary development, and pharmaceutical contracting within payer or PBM organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving finance, clinical teams, analytics, and external pharmaceutical stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of drug pipelines, utilization trends, and healthcare market dynamics, with the ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams, developing talent, and driving performance in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and executive influencing skills with the ability to engage both technical and senior business stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and healthcare financial modeling.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range aligned with senior leadership responsibilities and experience level
  • Performance-based incentive compensation
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Paid time off, company holidays, and flexible work arrangements where applicable
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Life and disability insurance coverage
  • Tuition reimbursement and professional development support
