In this strategic leadership role, you will define and drive the global HR risk and compliance agenda across a complex, multinational environment. You will ensure that HR operations are supported by strong governance, proactive risk management, and consistent policy frameworks that meet evolving regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in embedding compliance into everyday HR processes while enabling operational efficiency and scalability. You will collaborate closely with senior HR leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to influence decisions and strengthen enterprise-wide controls. Acting as a key advisor, you will help shape policies, mitigate risks before they emerge, and ensure alignment with global standards. This is a high-impact role suited for a leader who thrives in dynamic, regulated environments and enjoys building structure where complexity exists.


Accountabilities

In this role, you will lead the global HR risk and compliance strategy, ensuring strong governance, consistent policy application, and proactive risk mitigation across all HR operations worldwide. You will establish frameworks that strengthen accountability, enhance operational controls, and support enterprise decision-making.

  • Define and lead the global HR risk, compliance, and governance strategy, including operating model and roadmap alignment with enterprise priorities
  • Establish and oversee global HR policy frameworks, ensuring consistency, compliance, and effective implementation across regions
  • Design and enforce risk and control frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate HR operational risks proactively
  • Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into actionable HR guidance, policies, and mitigation strategies
  • Lead global HR compliance programs and ensure scalability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across regions
  • Provide strategic oversight of HR COEs, including immigration & mobility, background verification, workers’ compensation, and records management
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on risk-informed decision-making and compliance best practices

Requirements

This position requires a seasoned HR risk and compliance leader with deep expertise in governance frameworks, policy development, and global HR operations. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with strong execution skills and the ability to influence across a complex organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 12+ years of experience in HR operations, compliance, risk management, or related fields
  • Proven expertise in designing and managing governance frameworks and compliance programs
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, global regulatory environments, and operational risk management
  • Experience leading cross-functional and global teams in matrix organizations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence senior leadership
  • Strong program management, analytical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, and evolving environments
