About the Role:
At CrowdStrike, we are driven by innovation, technology, and a commitment to a safe and healthy workplace for our employees. As the Global Director of Health and Safety, you will take the lead in establishing and administering comprehensive health and safety programs tailored to our office-based and remote workforce, as well as those based in our data centers and integration facilities. This role isn’t just about compliance — it’s about creating a proactive safety culture and minimizing risk in a fast-moving, ever-evolving global environment, with responsibilities spanning the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ).

What You’ll Do:Â
Develop & Lead Global Strategy:
Drive the creation, refinement and execution of a comprehensive global health and safety strategy and framework that scales across all environments — from offices and remote setups to high-tech data centers and integration facilities.
Advise senior leadership on critical health and safety trends, emerging risks, and evolving regulations, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Ensure global consistency while tailoring programs to local requirements across regions.Â
Support the business with protocols for global expansion and integration of new employee populations and assets resulting from acquisitions.
Create & Implement Safety Programs:
Design and roll out global safety initiatives, ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, EU directives and country-specific health and safety regulations.
Address and manage regional/country-specific requirements, such as mandatory Health and Safety Committees in certain jurisdictions.
Lead comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies across all locations.
Oversee the procurement and maintenance of safety and personal protective equipment as needed across multiple company physical locations.
Compliance & Auditing:
Own the auditing and monitoring of global health and safety standards.
Establish and manage relationships with third-party vendors to deliver the global strategy and framework.
Oversee the program of audits and risk assessments, ensure timely required reporting and documentation, and identify and address actionable insights to continuously improve safety performance and reduce risk.
Prepare forecasting and budget tracking for health and safety.
Risk Management & Liability Prevention:
Take the lead in identifying potential health and safety risks and securing quality, cost-effective solutions and controls for risks identified.
Drive incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions to minimize risk recurrence.
Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address health and safety issues and emergencies, ensuring compliance with regulations worldwide.
Train & Empower:
Build and coordinate the delivery of training programs that equip employees, contractors, and leadership with the skills they need to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Ensure compliance with safety training mandates, documentation and evidentiary requirements.
Foster a culture of safety and health well-being, empowering teams to take ownership of health and safety practices across their regions.
Engage Globally:
Partner with regional leadership and local health and safety committees to ensure alignment and address region-specific trends and concerns.
Serve as the company’s health and safety expert, interfacing with external regulatory agencies, industry groups, and third-party vendors to maintain best-in-class practices.
What You’ll Need:Â
Experience: 10+ years in health and safety leadership, ideally within global, multi-site environments. Experience in the tech sector, including office, data center, and remote work settings, is highly desirable. Practical experience in dealing with compliance in APJ and EMEA is a significant advantage.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP) are a plus.
Expertise: Detailed working knowledge of U.S. (OSHA), European and other international health and safety regulations. Proven track record in establishing health and safety committees in Europe, Canada and Mexico and managing compliance on an international scale.
Leadership: A visionary leader with strong communication and organizational skills and good attention to detail who can drive global strategy, motivate teams, and foster a safety-first culture.
Bonus Skills: Experience in data center and integration facility safety, workplace violence prevention, ISO certification, ergonomics for remote workers, and/or hazardous materials management is a plus, as is fluency in more than one language.
Ability to travel 20% of the time
