This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Finance - Office of the CFO based in United States.

This is a senior finance and analytics leadership role focused on turning complex healthcare data into actionable business intelligence. You will shape enterprise-wide analytics and AI strategies that improve financial and operational performance. The role offers broad exposure to senior executives, operational leaders, clients, and cross-functional teams. You will lead initiatives spanning healthcare analytics, net patient revenue, reporting, benchmarking, and AI-enabled solutions. As a people leader, you will build and develop a high-performing analytics organization while fostering innovation and continuous improvement. This remote opportunity combines strategic influence with hands-on leadership and requires travel to client or corporate locations as business needs dictate.


Accountabilities
  • Lead day-to-day decision-making across finance and analytics initiatives by gathering insights from multiple sources, evaluating alternatives, communicating decisions clearly, and maintaining accountability for results.
  • Direct the development and implementation of data-driven dashboards, reporting solutions, analytics capabilities, and AI applications that strengthen enterprise decision-making and operational performance.
  • Establish and evolve key performance metrics, using analytics and AI to measure, monitor, benchmark, and improve net patient revenue performance across the organization.
  • Partner with senior executives and operational leaders to align analytics strategies, data capabilities, and AI solutions with strategic business priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to operational executives, translating complex data into clear recommendations that support financial performance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Build cross-functional partnerships and oversee the integration of diverse data sources to develop comprehensive insights and address complex business needs.
  • Work directly with clients and their financial teams to ingest, validate, and analyze data, providing actionable recommendations based on analytical findings.
  • Lead program and project execution from inception through implementation, managing resources, budgets, priorities, and timelines to maximize impact and minimize waste.
  • Build, lead, coach, and retain a high-performing team of analytics professionals while establishing clear goals, performance expectations, development plans, and succession strategies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, service excellence, and accountability, including the effective use of AI and automation to improve processes and technology.
  • Establish standards for delivering trusted, timely, and high-impact analytics solutions to stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Communicate complex financial and analytical concepts clearly and persuasively to executives, operational leaders, clients, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, particularly in clinical and operational performance, with 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Master’s degree in healthcare management, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • CPA or CFA certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated advanced experience using AI and leading teams in applying AI to process improvements, technology initiatives, experimentation, and operational transformation.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems, financial and reimbursement considerations, and medical center and medical staff organizations.
  • Proven ability to develop and apply analytics to improve financial outcomes, operational efficiency, and net patient revenue.
  • Proficiency with Epic and Microsoft Office, including Power BI, with strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and confidence working with senior leaders at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex information concise, compelling, and actionable.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to recognize and respond effectively to stakeholder needs.
  • Proven people leadership skills, including coaching, delegation, talent development, retention, and succession planning.
  • Strong program and project management capabilities, with a track record of taking strategic initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions, build trusted relationships, and operate successfully in a complex, fast-moving healthcare environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client, temporary, or corporate office locations when business needs require.
  • Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.
