<p><strong>About this opportunity:</strong></p><p><span style="font-weight: 300;">At Freenome, we are seeking a Director of Medical Affairs, to help define and grow the Freenome Medical team. The Director of Medical Affairs will interact with key clinical decision-makers that influence or manage the use of screening products. This role will have dual responsibilities to engage clinicians (primary care physicians, oncologists, gastroenterologists, pathologists, APPs) and managed care/payor customers but also drive Freenomeās field medical strategy across all products. The ideal candidate is a professional with a proven track record identifying the KOLs and payors nationally, and addressing the clinical knowledge gaps across a wide range of customers by communicating impactful scientific information. You are passionate about patient care, and you will have a signiļ¬cant impact on the continued growth of an organization dedicated to changing the entire landscape of cancer. The role reports to the VP, Medical Affairs and Advocacy.<br></span></p><p><strong>What youāll do:</strong></p><p><strong>KOL Engagement:</strong></p><ul><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers in academic and community clinics, hospital systems, payor/managed care organizations, and other institutions that influence or manage the use of screening products</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Collaborate with clinical and payor customers to understand their needs, knowledge gaps, challenges, and evidence requirements for clinical integration, reimbursement, and coverage</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Develop timely and strategic territory/account plans to address customer needs</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Educate and conduct meaningful scientific exchange with clinicians on the clinical attributes of Freenome products</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Educate managed care/payors on the clinical value of Freenome products and services to drive plan inclusion and appropriate utilization</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Providing support for on-site oral presentations, data reviews, and interactive education events for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)<br></span></li></ul><p><strong>Thought Leadership and Industry Awareness:</strong></p><ul><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Stay abreast of the latest scientiļ¬c and clinical advancements, market trends, and regulatory guidelines relevant to our products, speciļ¬cally in relation to market access, clinical, IDN, and payor environments</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Represent the company at industry conferences, meetings, and other events as a thought leader and fostering key relationships</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Assist in organizing forums and events for KOLs to discuss clinical challenges, unmet needs, and potential product improvements</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Identify trends impacting patient access to blood based cancer screening</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Provide updates and briefings to key internal stakeholders</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Partner closely with internal teams including Commercial and Medical, to align strategic objectives and optimize engagement eļ¬orts</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Represent Scientific Medical Affairs and field medical during internal Freenome strategic meetings</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Critically reviewing new publications and research findings to develop educational slides, which are then submitted for approval to Medical Affairs and Marketing<br></span></li></ul><p><strong>Strategic Partnerships: </strong></p><ul><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Collaborating with Sales executives to identify and advise on strategic partnership opportunities</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Promote effective compliant collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Close strategic and tactical alignment with commercial field-based teams to ensure appropriate medical support</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Build field medical territories for commercial launch</span><span style="font-weight: 300;"><br></span></li></ul><p><strong>Investigator Initiate Studies:</strong></p><ul><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Identify investigator initiated study proposals that align with Freenome SMA strategies</span></li><li><span style="font-weight: 300;">Present investigator study proposals to cross functional partners in clinical development and scientific medical affairs in support of research activities, including clinical trials, registries, ISTs, and/or RWE<br></span></li></ul><p><strong>Must haves:</strong></p><ul><li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Advanced degree in medical or health sciences (e.g. MD/DO/PhD/PharmD)</span></li><li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">10+ years relevant industry (diagnostic, pharmaceutical, oncology) experience required</span></li><li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Medical science liaison experience (oncology/diagnostic industries)</span></li><li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">In-depth scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge </span></li><li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Demonstrated understanding of clinical trial management</span></li><li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Working knowledge of regulatory guidance and reporting requirements</span></li><li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Exceptional organizational and time management skills</span></li><li style="font-weight: 300;"><span style="font-weight: 300;">Strong presentations skills including excellent verbal and written communication</span></li><li style="font-weight:
