This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and oversee Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Environmental Compliance, and Sustainability initiatives across large-scale renewable energy and data center infrastructure projects. You will be driving compliance with industry and regulatory standards, while also leading ESG programs and developing innovative sustainability strategies. Working closely with internal teams and third-party partners, you will ensure high performance, continuous improvement, and measurable progress on ESG and safety goals. This is a strategic position with strong visibility, accountability, and impact, contributing directly to advancing clean energy and sustainable development in the United States.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and enhancing EHS and Sustainability programs that exceed OSHA and industry standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Driving ESG strategy, including setting goals, building initiatives, and monitoring KPIs.
  • Preparing and leading the annual ESG Report, ensuring alignment with disclosure requirements and best practices.
  • Managing sustainability programs such as CSR, Carbon Neutrality, Water Positive, Waste/Landfill reduction, and Energy Efficiency initiatives.
  • Overseeing incident reporting, investigation processes, and continuous improvement in safety practices.
  • Managing EHS/ESG-related KPIs and dashboards, driving innovation in compliance and reporting processes.
  • Collaborating with internal leaders and external EPCs/O&M partners to ensure optimal project performance.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in engineering, environmental science, industrial safety, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive EHS, Environmental Compliance, and ESG management experience in multi-location renewable energy or energy construction.
  • At least 5 years of proven leadership experience managing distributed teams.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. environmental regulations (CWA, CAA, NEPA, ESA, MBTA, RCRA, EPCRA, CEQA, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels and lead with data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing innovative EHS and ESG solutions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with distributed, field-based populations and tools such as Oracle Primavera Unifier is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
