This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Data Engineering in United States.

This role sits at the core of a large-scale data and AI transformation effort, where enterprise data platforms power decision-making, analytics, and intelligent applications across a global organization. You will lead the strategy, architecture, and execution of modern data engineering practices that enable scalable, reliable, and high-quality data products. Acting as both a technical and organizational leader, you will shape how data is collected, transformed, and operationalized across business domains. The position requires strong expertise in data platforms, DataOps, and MLOps, combined with the ability to translate business needs into robust engineering solutions. You will collaborate closely with analytics, governance, and data science teams to build a unified data ecosystem. This is a high-impact leadership role with significant influence over enterprise-wide data strategy and engineering standards.

Accountabilities:

Lead the design, evolution, and governance of the enterprise data platform, defining architectural patterns and engineering standards that ensure scalability, reliability, and performance across all data systems.

  • Drive the implementation of DataOps, MLOps, and data observability practices to improve pipeline efficiency, data quality, and production stability.
  • Oversee strategic data engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with analytics, data science, governance, IT, and business teams to deliver data products that enable consistent, trusted, and actionable insights.
  • Establish and enforce best practices in data modeling, data governance, and enterprise information management.
  • Mentor and guide data engineering teams, fostering technical excellence, continuous learning, and a strong product mindset for data.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in data engineering and AI-enabled platforms to drive innovation and long-term capability development.

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, and large-scale data platform delivery, including leadership responsibilities.

  • Proven track record of managing and growing high-performing data engineering teams in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong technical expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark, and Databricks-based data ecosystems.
  • Deep understanding of DataOps, MLOps, data observability, and modern data pipeline best practices.
  • Experience with data governance, data modeling, and enterprise data management frameworks.
  • Strong business acumen, ideally with exposure to real estate, property management, or similarly complex operational industries.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences.

Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary: 160,000 – 195,000 USD
  • Performance-based bonus eligibility (quarterly and/or annual depending on role structure)
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance coverage
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and birthday leave after tenure
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Paid parental leave and fertility, adoption, or surrogacy reimbursement benefits
  • Employee assistance and wellness programs
  • Long-term sabbatical program after extended tenure
  • Additional voluntary benefits including legal, accident, critical illness, and pet insurance
