Director, Data and Analytics

Acting as both a hands-on technical expert and strategic leader, you will define the data roadmap, establish robust governance frameworks, and ensure data reliability across diverse business areas. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to unlock insights, enhance performance, and support cutting-edge initiatives. Accountabilities:

Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive data and analytics strategy aligned with business objectives
Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and data scientists
Architect and implement scalable data infrastructure, models, and reporting systems
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights supporting growth, operations, and research initiatives
Establish and enforce data governance, quality, privacy, and security standards across all data assets
Oversee the design and optimization of analytics tools and platforms to support evolving business needs
Act as a hands-on contributor when needed, setting technical standards and best practices for the team

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data science, including leadership roles
Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and modern analytics tools such as dbt, Databricks, or similar platforms
Proven experience building and scaling data teams and infrastructure from early stages
Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights
Experience working in regulated environments with a deep understanding of data governance and privacy standards
Familiarity with AI-driven data solutions and modern data architectures
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field; advanced degree is a plus
