Acting as both a strategic leader and hands-on operator, you will oversee the full compensation lifecycle, from annual planning cycles to innovative program design. You will partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure compensation programs align with business strategy and talent priorities. This is a high-impact role that blends analytical rigor, organizational design, and executive influence. You will also lead a team of compensation professionals, building a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement in a highly dynamic environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end strategy, design, and execution of global compensation programs, including merit, bonus, equity, and annual planning cycles.
  • Define and evolve compensation architecture, including job leveling frameworks, market benchmarking structures, and scalable pay models.
  • Manage and develop a team of compensation program professionals, fostering strong performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Payroll, People Operations, and People Technology to ensure seamless, compliant, and efficient program delivery.
  • Drive compensation analytics, reporting, and insights to support executive decision-making and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Establish scalable processes, governance frameworks, and documentation to ensure consistency and transparency across compensation practices.
  • Lead change management and communication strategies for major compensation initiatives across the organization.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on complex compensation decisions and strategic workforce planning.

Requirements

This role requires deep expertise in compensation strategy within complex, fast-scaling or public company environments, along with strong leadership and analytical capabilities.

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in compensation, ideally within public companies or large-scale organizations.
  • Proven experience managing and developing compensation professionals with a player-coach leadership style.
  • Strong expertise in compensation program design, job architecture, and market benchmarking methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional compensation initiatives at scale.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and advise senior and C-level stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with experience using tools such as Workday and Google Sheets.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and build scalable programs from the ground up.

Benefits

  • Annual cash compensation range: $230,800 – $369,300 USD
  • Eligibility for annual bonus and equity (restricted stock units) depending on role
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer support
  • Paid time off, company holidays, and mental health days
  • Parental leave and well-being support programs
  • Employee stock purchase program (where applicable)
  • Flexible work approach with remote or hybrid arrangements and onboarding in-person events
  • Learning and development support and career growth opportunities
  • Inclusive, values-driven culture focused on transparency, impact, and collaboration.
