This is a senior, high-impact individual contributor role focused on driving new strategic growth opportunities in the evolving energy and electrification ecosystem. You will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and developing “zero-to-one” partnerships across electric vehicles and residential battery storage markets. The position requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, commercial execution, and technical understanding of distributed energy systems. You will engage directly with senior external stakeholders to shape innovative partnership models that enable large-scale residential energy optimization. Acting at the intersection of energy transition and digital infrastructure, you will help expand next-generation virtual power plant capabilities. This role is highly analytical and externally focused, requiring both market vision and execution discipline in a fast-evolving sector.
Accountabilities:- Identify, evaluate, and develop new strategic business opportunities in electric vehicle and battery storage markets, from early concept through execution
- Build and manage a pipeline of “zero-to-one” initiatives focused on new partnerships and emerging energy use cases
- Develop financial, market, and energy models to assess viability and structure complex partnership opportunities
- Lead go-to-market evaluation efforts for new business concepts, ensuring alignment with market dynamics and company strategy
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including EV manufacturers, charging providers, and storage partners
- Collaborate with internal teams to shape scalable business models for distributed energy resources and residential energy solutions
- Contribute to strategic decision-making by delivering data-driven insights and market analysis
- Support the design of innovative partnership structures that enable managed charging, V2G, and storage integration
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, corporate strategy, or related fields
- Strong background in electric vehicles, energy storage, utilities, or distributed energy resources ecosystems
- Deep understanding of VPPs, demand response, EV charging infrastructure, and managed charging models (V1G and V2G)
- Proven ability to identify and execute new business opportunities in emerging or complex markets
- Experience working with or within EV, energy, or residential storage ecosystems
- Strong financial modeling, market modeling, or energy systems analysis capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior external decision-makers
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capabilities in ambiguous environments
- Ability to translate technical energy concepts into clear business opportunities and partnership structures
