The Director, Brand and Content Strategy will lead the development of a scalable brand and content ecosystem that strengthens market presence and supports business growth.
This strategic marketing leader will shape external narratives by translating complex scientific and commercial concepts into compelling stories for key audiences.
The role combines brand leadership, content strategy, thought leadership, digital engagement, and demand generation.
Working closely with executives, subject matter experts, commercial teams, and creative partners, this position will drive impactful content initiatives across the customer journey.
The ideal candidate will bring strong storytelling expertise, business acumen, and experience building B2B marketing programs in complex industries.

Accountabilities:

The Director, Brand and Content Strategy will own the strategy, execution, and optimization of brand and content initiatives that increase visibility, strengthen positioning, and generate business impact. This role will partner across marketing, commercial, scientific, and leadership teams to create differentiated messaging, scalable content programs, and measurable engagement strategies.

Develop and maintain a clear brand narrative, messaging framework, and storytelling approach that communicates value propositions across audiences and market segments.
Own the content strategy, editorial roadmap, and production lifecycle across multiple channels, including articles, white papers, case studies, webinars, podcasts, videos, social media, and sales enablement materials.
Build thought leadership programs by collaborating with internal experts and industry voices to create content that highlights innovation, expertise, and market differentiation.
Create demand generation initiatives that support lead generation, account-based marketing, and buyer journey progression through targeted content experiences.
Partner with digital marketing teams to optimize SEO, content distribution, website experiences, email programs, and emerging AI-enabled discovery channels.
Establish performance measurement frameworks, analyze content effectiveness, and provide strategic recommendations based on engagement and pipeline impact.
Lead internal and external content resources, including marketers, agencies, writers, designers, and production partners.
Develop scalable workflows, governance processes, and best practices to improve content quality, consistency, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will combine strong brand strategy expertise, exceptional communication skills, and experience creating impactful B2B content programs within complex or technical industries. This professional should be comfortable translating specialized concepts into clear, compelling narratives while driving measurable marketing outcomes.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in content marketing, brand strategy, corporate communications, editorial leadership, or similar disciplines.
5+ years of experience within life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical services, healthcare, diagnostics, clinical research, or related industries.
Proven success developing B2B content strategies that contribute to demand generation, brand awareness, and business growth.
Strong knowledge of SEO, marketing automation, digital engagement strategies, and modern content marketing practices.
Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and executive communication skills.
Experience using AI-enabled content development tools while maintaining strong editorial judgment and human oversight.
Ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives, scientific experts, commercial teams, and external partners.
Experience managing agencies, contractors, creative teams, and content production resources.
Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, SharePoint, Asana, and content management systems is preferred.
