This is a strategic, client-facing role focused on turning ambitious marketing goals into actionable, measurable digital strategies.
You will lead strategy across assigned accounts, connecting lifecycle marketing, content, AEO/SEO, social, and automation.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on collaboration across creative, content, technical, and analytics teams.
You will use behavioral, engagement, and transactional data to create more personalized and effective audience experiences.
As a trusted client advisor, you will lead discovery, shape priorities, present recommendations, and guide execution.
You will also provide creative direction and continuously optimize strategies based on performance, market trends, and customer behavior.
This is an opportunity to make a visible impact in a dynamic, remote environment while helping organizations solve complex marketing challenges.
Accountabilities- Lead digital marketing strategy for assigned client accounts, ensuring initiatives are aligned with business objectives, audience needs, and measurable outcomes.
- Facilitate client discovery sessions to uncover insights, clarify goals, establish priorities, and define meaningful performance metrics.
- Develop integrated, cross-channel strategies spanning lifecycle marketing, content, AEO/SEO, social, email, automation, and other relevant channels.
- Own major strategic workstreams from discovery through execution, adapting plans as priorities, market conditions, and customer behaviors evolve.
- Partner with creative, content, technical, and analytics teams to translate strategic direction into effective campaigns and audience experiences.
- Brief creative teams, evaluate concepts and campaign plans, and provide strategic feedback to ensure execution remains aligned with brand and business objectives.
- Monitor campaign and account performance, interpret data, identify opportunities or threats, and recommend strategic adjustments to maximize impact.
- Use behavioral, engagement, and transactional data to inform personalized experiences and improve customer journeys rather than relying solely on retrospective reporting.
- Collaborate with other strategists to maintain consistency with broader strategic frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Contribute strategic recommendations and new ideas to internal marketing initiatives, branding efforts, and sales pursuits.
- Stay current on evolving digital platforms, customer behaviors, market trends, and emerging tools that can improve marketing effectiveness.
- Serve as a primary strategic point of contact for clients and internal teams, proactively resolving questions, surfacing risks, and driving projects toward successful outcomes.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience developing and leading digital marketing strategies across multiple channels, ideally within an agency, startup, consultancy, or similarly fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated history of marketing wins that you personally owned and can substantiate with meaningful performance data.
- Strong expertise in at least two core marketing disciplines, such as lifecycle marketing, social media, AEO/SEO, content marketing, email, or marketing automation, combined with an understanding of how channels work together.
- Experience with lifecycle and loyalty marketing, including email and app-based experiences; familiarity with Braze is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to use behavioral, engagement, and transactional data to drive personalized marketing experiences and strategic decisions.
- Experience owning client accounts or significant strategic workstreams from discovery through delivery, with the confidence to steer direction and manage changing priorities.
- Strong client-facing communication, facilitation, storytelling, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex strategies clearly to senior executives.
- Creative-strategy capabilities, with experience briefing and directing creative work and evaluating concepts against strategic objectives even when not producing the creative yourself.
- Strong analytical thinking and a practical, results-oriented approach to strategy, optimization, and problem-solving.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build trust quickly with clients and stakeholders.
- Comfort learning and working with marketing and analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Figma, Profound, and Semrush.
- Experience in regulated healthcare or financial services environments is a plus, particularly within complex or highly matrixed organizations.
- A self-directed, adaptable mindset with the patience and persistence to support long-term initiatives whose results may take time to materialize.
Benefits
- $100,000–$140,000 annual salary, with final compensation based on experience, skills, and location/cost of living.
- Permanent remote work opportunity within the United States.
- 11 observed company holidays plus unlimited paid time off.
- 4 additional mental wellness days each year.
- 100% company-funded health insurance premiums, with dental and vision options.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- Monthly wellness stipend and quarterly employee appreciation gift.
- One-time reimbursement for work-from-home equipment.
- Summer Fridays with the office closing at 3:00 PM, plus Fall/Winter/Spring Fridays with the office closing at 5:00 PM.
