About Visby

Visby Medical is an ambitious, well-funded late-stage biotech startup. Driven by a belief that infectious disease diagnosis should be quick, accurate, and accessible to all, Visby has developed the world’s first single-use PCR platform that disrupts the traditional model and redefines the way infectious disease is tested and treated.

About the role

We are seeking a Digital Product Manager for a 6-month contract to cover a maternity leave. This individual will take ownership of Visby's mobile and/or web-based digital application that accompanies our diagnostic product. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, regulatory, customer experience, and clinical teams to continue development, drive adoption, and implement user-driven improvements to our digital product.

This is an ideal opportunity for a self-starting, UX-savvy product manager with experience in healthcare, diagnostics, or regulated software environments who can hit the ground running.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Serve as the primary product lead for Visby’s companion app during the contract period.
  • Work closely with our current product manager (before her leave) to ensure a smooth transition and deep understanding of the roadmap, backlog, and user needs.
  • Own the product roadmap, sprint planning, and backlog grooming in close coordination with engineering and design.
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform continuous improvement of the user experience.
  • Collaborate with regulatory and quality teams to ensure compliance with design controls and medical device software documentation requirements.
  • Define product requirements, write user stories, and prioritize development efforts with a focus on speed and impact.
  • Coordinate user testing and feedback cycles for digital features.
  • Partner with customer success and commercial teams to ensure alignment with customer workflows.

On Your First Day We’d Like You to Have
  • 3+ years of digital product management experience, ideally in healthcare, diagnostics, or medical devices.
  • Proven track record of shipping web and/or mobile apps with measurable user impact.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
  • Experience working with design controls and regulated software development (FDA 21 CFR 820, IEC 62304) is a big plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Detail-oriented, user-focused, and comfortable working independently within a fast-paced environment.
