POSITION PURPOSE 

The Digital Asset Manager oversees the organization, governance and optimization of YPO’s marketing assets to ensure efficient access, brand consistency and long-term value. This role manages the department’s digital asset management (DAM) systems and related tools, developing clear processes for storing, tagging, distributing and maintaining creative files, photography, video and other marketing resources. The Digital Asset Manager will partner closely with the Creative & Brand Experience and Technology teams to create a centralized, intuitive and scalable asset ecosystem that supports YPO’s global brand storytelling and operational excellence.  

This is a 6 month contract engagement with possibility for renewal.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead the organization and day-to-day management of YPO’s DAM platforms. 

  • Develop and maintain metadata schemas, tagging standards and folder structures to ensure assets are searchable and easy to retrieve. 

  • Monitor asset uploads, usage, permissions and version control to maintain quality and compliance.  

  • Manage integrations between the DAM and related systems (e.g. Hive, Adobe Creative Cloud, Cvent, OneDrive, Optimizely, etc.) 

  • Establish clear policies and workflows for asset intake, approval, archiving and expiration.  

  • Ensure all assets across all platforms, including those not owned by Marcoms, meet brand, level and accessibility requirements. 

  • Partner with creative teams to maintain accurate naming conventions and metadata practices.  

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure content accuracy, permissions integrity and compliance with data security standards. 

  • Recommend enhancements to improve system usability, efficiency and adoption.  

  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to onboard team members and partners to DAM best practices.  

  • Provide ongoing support for internal users, ensuring adoption of systems and adherence to established processes.  

  • Build cross-departmental relationships to ensure the DAM supports organizational priorities and evolving needs.  

  • Track and report on asset usage, adoption and efficiency metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.  

  • Monitor trends and emerging technologies in digital asset management to keep systems current and competitive.  

 

SKILLS 

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills; able to influence and align across cross-functional boundaries. 

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity with a calm, solutions-oriented mindset that guides teams through change. 

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.  

  • Deep understanding of metadata, taxonomy, file organization and version control principles.  

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.  

  • Experience managing system integrations.  

  • Highly proficient with DAM platforms (Box and Canto preferred). 

 

EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND 

  • 5+ years of experience in digital asset management, marketing operations, creative production management or a related field.  

  • Demonstrated experience organizing and maintaining large-scale digital libraries for marketing and creative organizations.  

  • Familiarity with metadata standards, rights management and workflow automation.  

  • Experience with DAM integrations (e.g. Hive, Adobe Creative Cloud, Cvent, OneDrive, Optimizely, etc.) 

  • Experience supporting global or multi-team marketing departments a plus.  

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Certification or formal training in digital asset management or information architecture a plus.  

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed to accommodate members and team members in multiple time zones. 

  • Ability to provide personal computing equipment compatible with organizational security standards.
